“The hotel owners/hosts, Sharon and John were very welcoming and friendly including Sharon offering to drive me to a local restaurant and later coming back to collect me. The Continental breakfast was generous, varied and more than enough to satisfy and set you up for the day! When I am next in that area, I’ll certainly book to stay at the Ashbank and shall make the recommendation for others to do so too!”

“This is the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to stay. On arrival I could see that the building exterior was very tired. The decking was past its best and the key box was broken and the smell was dreadful as I opened the door. Tried to keep an open mind went to open windows but the bathroom and one bedroom didn’t open at all. It all needed a good clean so put the immerser on and waited, I am still waiting. “My daughter and I absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Lochead Chalet. It's in a wonderful spot right on the loch side, and oh my it is so very peaceful! The chalet itself was a perfect size for we two adults and our little dogs and we found it very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Karlina in the Ellary estate office was lovely too. A beautiful location for a holiday and a charming place to stay - highly recommended. ”

“This property is well placed and easy to find. The accommodation is good - although some more attention to detail eg the condition and quantity of cutlery (fine if you are a group of 2 but bring friends in or have more in your party then there is a problem) There was only 1 tall class which we shared. A second oven proof/microwave dish would be useful too. Nevertheless we had a good stay.”
