“Tarbert is such a sweet little town. The castle ruins were magical. The hotel itself - very convenient, easy parking, incredibly nice and very hardworking staff. The meals were SUPERB! The room was in good condition. The bed was a bit on the soft and saggy side. Great view though over the water. Hallways are clearly under ongoing repairs. The dinner dining area is quite nice. Breakfast area could use a refresh (especially that first booth seat). Overall, the Anchor Hotel was a great 2 night...

“If you're planning to play golf in Machrihanish (and why else would you go there?) the Ugadale is an awesome place to stay. Next door to the Machrihanish Golf Club clubhouse, with a shuttle to Machrihanish Dunes five miles away.”

“We had a lovely time in the property, the house was great and the welcome basket was a perfect touch! Part of the reason we chose to come was for its proximity to the two Machrihanish courses but we didn't quite realise how great the beaches are as well! If we ever come back to the area, we would definitely look to stay hear again.”
