Long weekend getaway
We had a great stay at this property for 3 nights. The location is fantastic & we enjoyed walking around near the resort. The house is beautifully decorated & extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook meals & relax while enjoying the amazing view.

Wonderful stay in Nanoose Bay!
Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Kim and Alan’s condo! The unit was just as advertised and equipped with so many thoughtful touches. The location is excellent and the resort has great amenities. Our kids especially loved the outdoor pool which was nice and warm. The unit was super quiet and very comfortable. We have stayed at many vacation rentals over the years and this was definitely one of our favorites. Communication with Alan was very easy and timely. We hope to visit again in the near future. Can’t recommend this enough!

would definitely stay again
Our family booked 10 days at the Foxglove, and it was wonderful. The condo was clean and comfortable, has a nicely equipped kitchen, and it was so quiet. Easy access to town, to Nanaimo, and the hiking trails in the area- the location was excellent. The view of the bay was lovely. We were lucky to see a few seals bobbing in the bay, and really enjoyed the paddle boards available. It really was a wonderful stay, and not only would we recommend to others, but would stay again as well. Thank you, Kim and Alan. We truly appreciate your hospitality!

Better than expected
The details were exceptional. First, the condo was much larger than the pics can show. The cupboards in the kitchen had everything you would need and all equipment in top shape. The bathrobes were such a nice touch as well as the picnic basket and beach accessories. All told, the stay was beautiful and the owners were responsive and kind.

Amazing Family Accommodation
This is an incredible accommodation located on a beautiful property with many amenities for all ages, and just minutes away from downtown Parksville. There are many thoughtful touches and supplies in the unit and the fantastic layout provides both open spaces to spend time together and quiet spaces for time on your own. Highlights include very comfortable beds, air conditioning, well stocked kitchen, views of the river/ocean/sunset from the main deck and easy access to the beach and all areas of the resort.

Another amazing stay!
This was our 2nd time staying here. We came back because the unit is clean, tidy, well appointed, and in a beautiful spot. You can see the ocean and watch the tide creep up into Beaver Creek. The bathrooms have been nicely updated and the open floor plan for the kitchen/dining/living room is fantastic. We made use of the resort BBQ, indoor pool and hot tub, outdoor kids pool, and outdoor hot tub. We will be back!

Lovely balcony and sunsets
We really enjoyed our stay. Spacious and very nicely decorated place, where we enjoyed the balcony every morning and evening. Well stocked kitchen where we cooked dinner every night. Location is great for exploring this area of Vancouver Island. Host was very nice and responsive. Resort itself is a bit older and could benefit from a shine up. The resort pool was charmless, but there were always kids having fun there. We appreciated the air conditioning, but did find it quite loud and it prevented us from using the 2nd balcony. All in all, I would recommend staying at this VRBO and Nanoose Bay.

Great bayside condo in the Pacific Shores resort
Great stay and accomodation. The kitchen was very functional and reasonably well equipped. The lounge and bedrooms were generously sized. The 4 balconies gave lots of outdoor areas, including two with bay water views. Pacific Shores has lots of pickleball courts as well as great swimming and work out options. We also made use of the kayaks and paddleboards. Just wish those items were available on all the days.

The host’s thoughtfulness invested into Foxglove has provided a wonderful time of fun, rest and enjoyment of the nature by the Nanoose Bay. The kitchen is fully stocked, two bedrooms on the other side of the sitting ensure good privacy, balconies to watch the ebbs and flows of an inlet below, and the jet tub in master bedroom is a delightful bonus for the morning and eve. It’s been a blissful getaway for all of us.

For the last 5 years we have picked a place in BC to have our summer family vacation. Kim’s property is a total gem. Absolutely beautiful views. The condo was fully stocked. We took full advantage of all the things to do on the resort. Our little family all agreed this was by far the best stay we had. Every thing was spotless, communication was excellent. We will definitely stay here again. It truly a special place.

A Little Slice of Paradise
Our family of 4, with 2 boys aged 11 and 8, stayed at Kim and Alan’s vacation home at Pacific Shores Resort for a week in early August. What a location! Last year we stayed at Tanglewood by Rathtrevor Beach, but we much prefer the setting and shoreline by the Pacific Shores Resort. It has a rocky outcropping to explore, trails nearby, and Beaver Creek and the Ocean right off your balcony. We used the vacation home as a jumping off point for day trips (Spider Lake, Coombs, Oyster River Potholes, Top Bridge Park, etc). It was always a welcome site pulling into Pacific Shores upon our return. Kim and Alan’s home is one of the best appointed vacation homes we have ever stayed at. It has virtually everything you would ever need. The kitchen is amazing, modern, and completely equipped for whatever it may be you plan on cooking. The living/dining area is bright, very spacious, and quiet! The 2 bedrooms are massive. We had more than enough room for 4 people. The views from the 2 west balconies are amazing. My boys loved watching the tide creep up into Beaver Creek each night. The amenities are fantastic and thankfully the vacation home is centrally located within the resort so it’s close to everything. We made use of the pool, the outdoor and indoor hot tubs, and the BBQ’s. We borrowed kayaks and saw seals and starfish when exploring the coastline. We had a great time this week and a big part of that was having a beautiful home to stay in!

We had an amazing time on our trip to Nanoose! The property was absolutely spotless, well appointed and surrounded with amenities. The beds were all comfortable and we had absolutely everything we needed. The pools and beach kept us all happy and the quick drive to Parksville gave us even more options of things to do. The on-site restaurant was super tasty and full of locally sourced options. Highly recommend this property - we will definitely be back!

Tranquil Retreat with Stunning Views
We had a wonderful stay in very serene settings. The unit is cozy and we had all we could possibly ask for and more. Very comfortable beds and the unit is roomy. 6 adults could be very comfortable. The host is the absolute best and we were very appreciative of the service she provided. The resort itself is a gem and the views are spectacular. What a treat! This space is worth every penny. Kim is the best host we’ve ever had… thorough, kind, responsive, helpful. The space is incredible, the facility is amazing, we had high expectations based off the well written description and our weekend was better than we could have imagined. The layout is great for families… we had 4 kids in one room and they had more than enough space… meanwhile my wife and I were able to have our own space aswell. Everybody enjoyed it… and the included bikes & SUP BOARDS were an added bonus. Thanks for a great wknd! We’ll be back for sure!

Beautiful condo in fun location
My family of five spent a wonderful week at the Foxglove -- the location was perfect for hiking and beachcombing, and we all enjoyed the resort amenities at home. The condo was a perfect home base for fun on Vancouver Island and we were all sad to leave.

A peaceful retreat
The condo is just as described and we enjoyed our stay. It is very spacious, nicely decorated, quiet and clean. The sunny patio overlooks the inlet with changing tides and we appreciated having a walking path along the waterfront. The owner responded promptly to all enquiries and was easy and friendly to deal with.

Amazing location, property, amenities and host.
The location is second to none. It shares a small inlet coastline with some of the high-end waterfront properties on the island. The property is immaculate and clean. We've stayed in vacation rentals around the globe for 20 years, we've never stayed in a place that is this well equipped. The kitchen has absolutely EVERYTHING you could possibly need or want in terms of equipment, serving dishes and even an extensive selection of ingredients. And the amenities at the resort are ideal for families. And the host is very helpful. One of the best vacation rentals on the island.

Wonderful, easy family holiday
Our host Kim had thought of everything which made for a very enjoyable and easy trip for us. From booking, through check-in and during the trip Kim was quick to reply to messages and took care to provide us with good information. The apartment was spacious, clean and had all of the amenities we needed, as well as plenty of little extras Kim provided to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable, like toys for the kids and some food/drink. The apartment doesn’t have AC and we were staying during a heatwave, so Kim arranged for a portable AC unit for us, which together with the fans made the inside temperature comfortable. We had 3 generations staying and there was something for everyone at the resort - swimming pool, hot tub, playground, beaches, trails for walking/jogging, gym and so much more that we didn’t get time to try! Unfortunately the restaurant still hasn’t opened after the pandemic, but there are plenty of good restaurants nearby - Kim even provided recommendations :) Thank you for a lovely holiday we'll all remember for a long time. It was a great introduction to Canada for us!
