Spectacular view, excellent location and poor management company
This flat was as described, clean upon arrival. View and location are spectacular. One mattress needs to be replaced (heavily bowed in the middle) and the living room furniture is a bit tired and the stove wouldn't light w/out a lighter but overall acceptable. What didn't work was the management company communication and follow thru. I did not receive any instructions, email or phone number to call on how to get into the property upon arrival, I googled their phone number to Pass the Keys and was told there was a key located in a lock box on a fence at the park across the street (very strange) and found an injured pigeon living on the balcony. It was obvious it had been there for some time (empty tupperware and water present) and lots of feces on the balcony. I contacted them immediately and they didn't respond for over 24 hours and then deferred to the owner for direction vs handling the situation. They ultimately told me to contact the fire brigade (seriously?) I spent my time trying to contact some rescues, ultimately called the fire brigade who referred me. In short, this management company was extremely negligent, didnt handle this until the last day. Sent someone (sketchy) who was just removing the bird to release in the bushes even after I had set up rescue to pick up at a vet 3 blocks away. They never cleaned up the balcony either. So while our stay was perfectly fine otherwise, it was time consuming and did not feel adequate for the issue at hand. The balcony was unusable the whole time (and it was a primary reason why I rented this unit) Net result, the place is great, management not so much. Hopefully the owner will consider switching companies.
