Overall, we were very disappointed with the management company. This was the dirtiest rental any of us had ever stayed in. Our issues:
-The floors were extremely dirty. We took pictures of how filthy our feet & socks were after only walking inside but I'm not able to attach photos. Clearly not good Covid cleaning standards
-Flat pillows & hard mattresses & 2 pillow cases in separate rooms were clearly not washed, they had drool stains on them. Also a dirty towel
-Algae on the pool tiles
-VERY slippery concrete around the pool
-Overall low quality - one of the back slider doors was really hard to open and close. Faulty dishwasher
-Not enough glasses
-Tiny coffee pot, only brewed about 2 mugs at a time
-Ridiculous pool hours not disclosed in the description. Not allowed in before10am
-Bag of old rotten fruit in garage
I booked thru VRBO & received my confirmation w/ a 3:00pm check-in time (the listing on VRBO still shows 3:00 check-in.) After a long drive we arrived at 3:22, needing to get my infant daughter down for her nap, which we planned on getting there in time for. When we got there the cleaners were still there & said that check-in time was really 4:00. I sent a message to the host about it & didn't hear back from them until after 4:00. The host's reply simply said "Our check in time is actually 4 PM. The cleaners were correct." Needless to say, this was an irritating reply after having had email confirmation saying 3:00 & having to wait in the driveway with 2 little kids for 40 minutes until the cleaners left a few minutes after 4:00. Luckily the cleaners gave me the code to get in because even after a couple of requests, the host never sent me entry instructions. Ended up calling the management company, the woman who answered was snippy from the get go. I was being polite & calm & explained what happened & she said that a 3rd party is the one who sends the confirmation emails & that they already notified them of the error. I said that's fine but that doesn't help us today. She said I don't know what you want me to say, I already told you we notified them. I said an apology would be nice, or some sort of discount. As soon as I said that, she said I don't like the tone of this conversation & I said why, because I'm asking for some sort of compensation? She got all flustered & said I'm hanging up! And she did. The lack of customer service & filthy house really put a damper on our happy trip to celebrate my husband's new business in Vegas.
