Great location for Family Reunion
We booked this home for a family reunion. It has been 20 years since the last reunion and we were really looking forward to seeing each other and spending time together. This property is well located for beach access and is well appointed. The only issue is the number of stairs to climb to get into the house and the kitchen being on the top floor. Otherwise it was a great house for our reunion.

Great Family Getaway
We had a great time in Galveston at this house. The location was great since it was close enough to town that we had easy access to restaurants and activities but far enough removed that the beach was not too crowded. The layout is not ideal when traveling with little kids that wake up early because all the bedrooms except one are below the main living area and kitchen. The steps to the loft are also very steep and there is no bathroom up there. Would probably be a good place for teens to sleep but not little kids or adults who need to use the bathroom at night. Some work was being done on the house during our stay so a flapping tarp in the side of the house kept us up one night but management was very responsive and maintenance came the next day to fix it. Overall, not a perfect house but reasonably priced for a big group and a great location!

Nice place but needs maintenance and personal care
Our stay was good, but we had a few things that could have been avoided if there was proper maintenance for the place. We received several emails saying check in is at 4, do not arrive earlier. We arrived at 4:20, and the cleaners were still cleaning the house. We finally got in around 4:40, the floors were wet from mopping. The A/C was not working and it was very hot in the house. The management company sent a repair man who came and replaced the batteries for the thermostat. The A/C worked, but it took a couple of hours to get the temperature down. The microwave and coffee maker did not work. We went to walmart and bought our own coffee maker. The fridge had a broken shelf. We had no communication with an actual "owner", all the communication was with different people from a management company who clearly was nowhere near the house to check on it regularly and make sure it was ready to be leased. Also, when we booked the house they insisted on knowing exactly how many people we had and the reason for our staying there, would not accept vacation as an answer. When we told them we had 19 people including children, they said it is going to be tight, even though the house is advertised to fit 20 people. Overall we had a good time, the fit was just fine, the management company allowed us to check out 2 hours later than normal checkout time because of all the problems.

Love the place. Nice, spacious, steps from the quiet Sunny Beach. Great location for what we were looking for. It’s a bit away from the busy part of Galveston and that’s what we were looking for. Will definitely return. One suggestion though, bigger bar of soap would be nice.

Loved our stay!
The home is well-maintained and big! We also enjoyed having access to a private beach that is no more than a few hundred feet from the home. There is also plenty of parking space for multiple cars, and plenty of beds for a larger group. Loved our stay!

Overall not bad. There were some repairs that needed to be done. Siding on the exterior was falling off. Damage looks like its been there for awhile. Master sink had a slow drain, shower floor was uncomfortable with the rock design. Other than that, beds were comfortable.

Nice!
We had a pretty big family and this place helped save a lot of money compare to buying hotel rooms. Russell is so awesome and communicative which helps us feel safe and welcomed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming down to Galveston!

Wonderful vacation!
This was the perfect house for us. Despite being on the 2nd row we could see and hear the ocean from the front porch and from all of the rooms in the front of the house. The beach was also very nice as there were no cars on the beach. Finally, the owner was very friendly and communicated with me quickly whenever I had a question. He was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend this beach house and would love to stay here again!

This property needs a lot of TLC
This was a great place for our group of friends to stay for the weekend. The property is smaller than the pictures make it look, but there was plenty of room. Glad to have all the beds and bedrooms. There are lots of stairs - Just be aware. The bed in the master bedroom on the first level need to be repaired. The supports under the mattress are missing or broken. Tiles in the downstairs bathroom have fallen off the wall and have not been repaired. Several windows are missing screens and several blinds are broken. The upstairs shower head needs to be replaced so it can be adjusted and not just a mist because it is clogged. The sliding door on the main level is missing a screen door. someone must have walked through it at some point, but the property managers have not had it replaced. There was a sticky substance on the stairs and the railing, like a soda had been spilled on them and the floors were filthy. This place needs some love and some paint to touch up all the baseboards which look dirty and damaged.

Thanksgiving family of 15`
Wonderful thanksgiving getaway for our entire family. Three generations and we all had a great time. The house is very comfortable for a large group for sure. However the sixth bedroom is a loft with two open walls. so no privacy from noise for sure. Really cook space though, just steep staircase to get up there. All of the beds were very comfortable and with nice soft sheets and good pillows. Lots of towels available too. Location is great. View of ocean and easy access to the beach as well for driving or walking. Management very responsive too.

Functional home for large group
This house didn’t have a lot of frills or decor, but it worked decent for a large group. Communication with owner was great. Location was okay. We like to rent golf carts to drive down the beach, but this location is blocked off after 150 yards both ways. Great points: owner provided starter items (paper towel, toilet paper, trash bags, soap, shampoo/conditioner, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent. Easy checkout procedures. Great back patio facing ocean. We always had hot water. Beds and pillows were decent. TV provides all of the ways to watch shows. Negative points: no board games to play or cards/dominoes. No large stock pot to cook a meal for a large group. No large pitcher. Beds are squeaky. House is loud everywhere you go (wood floors, lots of steps, loft is open to living room so kids weren’t ever really separated with noise/voice/tv. The hardest part was the constant swaying. This house rocks back and forth so bad it feels like you’re on a ship in a storm. The wooden blinds slammed back and forth on the sides of the window and kept us up all night. Stones in the showers were uncomfortable on our feet. AC had a hard time keeping up during the day. The freezer drawer didn’t shut fully so our food didn’t stay frozen and was filled with condensation. Overall, we had a great time after making a few trips to the grocery store. I’m not sure we would cone back to this particular house, but the price was great for a group this large so we are glad we went.

Lovely home & view
We really enjoyed the home and the view. We took advantage of the short walk to the beach in the morning with our pups. This is a great home for a family. Lots of bedrooms. Be prepared for lots of stairs. We are both over 60 but we managed Ok.

Amazing Property!
We had such a great time at this beach house! Plenty of room and very clean! We will be renting this one again. The fire pit was a nice touch and the view was outstanding. The property managers were very helpful as well.

Great location but has some issues
Our family of 14 stayed at this home for 5 nights. It is in a great location, close to the beach and has plenty of bedrooms and beds. For a house that sleeps 22 people, it doesn't have much room for people to lounge, since it has very small, uncomfortable living room furniture. The kitchen also lacked pots and pans large enough to cook for a large group. The biggest issue we had with this house was that it has a roach problem. We didn't really notice them the first couple of days, but that last 3 days were terrible. They were in the kitchen, dining area and living room, even during the day around us. It must be a fairly new problem because they were pretty small roaches. I private messaged the person that I had been communicating with before we rented and never got a response. I also sent the management company an email, but I have never received a response. We all came home and left our belongings on the patio and brought things in individually to avoid bringing roaches into our house. If this house had not had a roach problem it would have been a much more pleasant experience. It has 5 bedrooms with plenty of beds and a loft with bunk beds, which was a great place for the younger crowd, but the stairs to the loft are pretty steep and are not safe for younger kids. Overall it was a great house but the roach issue was a big problem.
