Staff were lovely but very run down. No parking and the noise from other guests went on all night so got no sleep for 2 nights. Shower didnt work either. Breakfast was bad burnt sausages and under cooked bacon. Ended paying more and going to Premier Inn. Didnt bother with a refund as other reviews said they were unable to get one. Please dont stay here!

Staff were really helpful on reception but the hotel is so tired and cold - breakfast doesn’t open u til 7 so too late for me, room never got serviced from Sunday - Thursday and I asked if it could be - however reception staff were really helpful and got me some dry towels - room cold and heating doesn’t come in until 6 pm in the rooms - bed was very comfy and rooms were much cleaner than the communal areas which look like something from the 1970’s - also more for Expedia - I booked with Amex but hotel wouldn’t accept it when I checked in - luckily I had another card to pay with.

It has nice staff and clean but just no hot water it like warm and heating is a joke had to have a little heater to warm up the room.

Plese avoid this hotel, the worse hotel i seen in my live, the rooms are very dirty i think they don’t clean the rooms, they changed for us the room 3 times but all the same, the toilet is disgusting i found a trace of poo 💩 that’s mean they didn't cleaned the toilets, in the second room a piece of glass was in the blanket and injured my foot, i complained but they don't care just changing for us the room. Very very dirty and you can hear the noise from the other rooms. Please just avoid this hotel i think there is no management or someone check after the staff.

I had my 50th birthday party there me an my family and friends booked a room for the night.it was freezing cold the room smelt of damp couldn’t sleep as it was 2cold I’m very disappointed especially all the money I had spent.also the chicken wasn’t cooked properly I’m actually fuming about this

This hotel is really dated and overpriced for what it is. We had a family room which had not been updated in decades. The bathroom was grimy the paint was falling off the walls and ceilings, the fixtures were from the stone ages. The beds were rock hard, the duvet cover was torn and the pillows were old and worn. We only had 1 mug and no spoons to make a hot drink. We had no remote control for the TV and when I asked reception for one they brought one that did not work so I asked for a working one several times but was never given one. They ‘breakfast’ was terrible the ‘hot food’ was undercooked and the coffee was disgusting and they just had some watered down OJ, really not good at all. The car park was at the back of the hotel down some very unsafe flights of uneven broken concrete stairs and the area was very poorly lite so did not feel safe whatsoever. I would never stay in this hotel again.

The room was bad, had no heating. I had 2 workers come to my door complaining about noice when my son and i were asleep. Also i asked them if they could sort my radiator as the room was freezing cold. They said they were going to be back in 2-3 minutes. They didn’t end up coming back so i went to reception to see both of the men sat at the desk casually talking. I asked him if he was going to do it and he gave me a small heater that didn’t even work! so i had to go back down. There was small bits of mold in the room, the sink was cracked, the bath wasn't even clean as there were small hairs all over it with missing caps for the bubble blower in it and my bedding was damp, the tv also didn’t work properly. Also the hotel must have rats aswell as there were multiple rat traps all around inside the hotel which is very appetising if your sat down eating and see that.

Arranged car park from 16:00 to 08:00 in the morning only as their is not accessible. After the ours you have to move the car and look for parking at your own expense. The Hotel stinks.

Okay but below my expectation
First impressions not very good. The reception desk had many tins of paint behind it which looked untidy. The welcome wasn’t great and once I got my room key there was no obvious sign as to where the rooms were on each floor - you had to go through an unmarked door to get to the rooms, hence I had to go back to the desk and ask for directions. The hotel wasn’t as smart as I’d been expecting but my “Delux Queen” room was tidy and clean with a nice size bed, a good size “smart” TV and a nice view over the River Medway. There was a separate bathroom which was a decent size, clean and tidy, with a shower over bath, however the ceramic tiled floor was cold underfoot, and there appeared to be a small leak of water or condensation around the toilet and sink pedestal. The breakfast was adequate but far from exciting. It was served lukewarm on the first two mornings however on the 3rd morning it was served a bit hotter. They had apple juice but no orange juice. The hotel information stated the hotel had free onsite parking but during my stay the parking area was actually closed off for some reason. I did manage to park on the small forecourt though. I thought the hotel was conveniently located as it was close to the High Street and to the bus & rail stations, and approx 25 minute walk to Rochester’s Cathedral and Castle. I initially booked a two night stay but I decided to book an extra night in order to visit the castle and surrounding area. I would rate the hotel 6/10

Cheap hotel which is reflected in the facilities and cleanliness of the rooms. My room had Staines all over the carpet. My dad's room had his bathroom shower flooded as we think the plug hole was blocked. But at the end of the day it was the cheapest option in the area,
