“This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area.”

“Holly Cottage is a mix of old and new with plenty of space for 7 adults who went to walk and catch up with each other.The photos don’t quite do it justice. Kitchen is large and has absolutely everything you may need. Heated floor lovely in the winter.The lounge has an easy to light log burner, so make sure you use it.We didn’t move the cars once we arrived, as so many beautiful walks right from the front door.A 2 minute walk to the village pub The Crown, serving really good food and the staff...

I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. ”

“This is a very nice property for exploring Yorkshire. Plenty of space, excellent service by manager Lisa...who lives very nearby, and very close to Helmsley, York etc., small but very adequate groicery very nearby, great coffeee shop virtually across the street (not open ..I think..Monday and Tuesday), and plenty of restaurants in the area. Overall, and bear in mind we are used to US accomodations, this is exactly what I think you'd expect, with all that you need ...the owners have a great place...
