My intuition was right when I called several weeks before arriving and asked if we were going to have enough supplies to get us through 7 days of our stay. I was assured that everything would be fine and if we needed more supplies to just give them a call and we would get them, no problem. Boy was that far from the truth. When we arrived, I found an empty bottle of laundry detergent- that’s right, EMPTY. With further inspection we found that the rental was definitely not cleaned properly- leftover food in the cabinets, trash behind a chair, dirt and dust bunnies on the floor, grill was filthy, grass was not mowed. My first call was made to Vacasa- I was told not to worry and that they would get back to me. Things when South quickly after that. We found out the dryer was broke, coffee pot was cracked, and dish washer leaked all over the floor. More calls were made with no answers. At this point we’re running out of towels and we’re buying our own supplies including a new coffee pot. We live 7 hours away and we have a toddler. I specifically rented this place because of the accommodations- the accommodations that were non-existent. After speaking with multiple customer service reps and 2 supervisors, we got a bag full of towels on the back porch and someone came to clean the grill. My argument, for what Vrbo and Vacasa are so easily ready to charge people for “cleaning” and “service” fees, they better have actually have CLEANED and SERVICED the rental. Never again.
