“We had a nice stay at Balgownie. We were treated to a complementary wine tasting, the grounds were very nice, the breakfast was excellent and the room (admittedly, we chose the “standard” room) was adequate. The gym was untidy, the AC didn’t work in the gym (nor did the Wi-Fi) and it’s a small gym/pool area. It’s a nice location for exploring the area.”

“Small but comfortable home. It contains a fully functional kitchen with basic seasoning, herbs and cooking oil. Did not realise it shares the fence with a funeral home which didn’t bother us but it bothered my Asian parents. The host, Lucy, is pleasant and responsive. Appreciate the thoughtful touches such as hand made soap from the Yarra Valley region. ”

“Lovely 2 day stay . Marred by the fact that the chic restaurant was not open so had a bistro type meal. Surroundings and hotel itself were very peaceful and did the trick to revive the body. Golf course in site was quality for good players. ”
