“We stayed here as a last minute decision. The establishment was probably a conference centre but now largely unused. Room was comfortable and quite large but surroundings were in need of some TLC. . It was close to some good restaurants in the nearby shopping centres. I t felt a bit spooky being the only guests in the wing but could be pleasant if the place was full. ”

“We had a nice stay at Balgownie. We were treated to a complementary wine tasting, the grounds were very nice, the breakfast was excellent and the room (admittedly, we chose the “standard” room) was adequate. The gym was untidy, the AC didn’t work in the gym (nor did the Wi-Fi) and it’s a small gym/pool area. It’s a nice location for exploring the area.”

“My partner and I have stayed here quite a number of times in the last 6 months. We find the rooms reasonably neat and tidy and roomy, especially if we are lucky to get the deluxe queen with spa room for the same or a discounted price as a queen room, regardless if we use the spa or not. Never had a problem with the staff...always friendly and polite. This long Australia day weekend, was the first time I have heard anyone having an argument outside with yelling...or hearing blaring Indian or...

“The cottage was very clean and beds were very comfortable. It had good heating and the spa was lovely. Breakfast was provided but we did stay 2 nights and felt that the provisions were only for 1 night especially when 4 people booked. We used the resturant and the meal was generous and nice. Dietary requirements were catered for. Unfortunately communication and service could have been better. Overall we enjoyed our stay but a few improvements would help to maintain cliental and see people...
