Esta encantadora cabaña de cuatro pisos Northwoods Tuckaway de cuatro dormitorios fue diseñada para nuestra gran familia. Ubicado a las afueras de la ciudad, sentado en un hermoso lago bajo. Le brinda lo mejor de ambos mundos, un entorno tranquilo y pacífico, a pocos minutos de las compras. Con capacidad para 12 personas, tiene una hermosa cocina totalmente equipada con lavavajillas y una gran mesa de roble antiguo. Una gran sala de estar de la catedral con cubierta extendida con vistas al lago. Hay chimeneas en ambos niveles, 3 televisores, el nivel inferior tiene una sala de recreo y proyectado en el porche. Al aire libre tenemos un parque infantil, bote de remos, bote a motor eléctrico, canoa, bote de remos, 2 kayaks, muelle flotante y pozo de fuego sin cargo adicional. Hay una suave playa de arena inclinada con un muelle para caminar. Estamos orgullosos de mantener nuestra propiedad limpia y nuestros equipos actualizados y funcionales. Nuestros inquilinos aman nuestra casa y muchos vuelven año tras año. Nuestro lema es complacer con una tarifa razonable.

Labor day 2024
It was beautiful all the activities that were available boats, kayaks and games awesome. The house could use a few repairs but good condition. In descriptions it stated parking for 6 vehicles you better all have small vehicles to fit. Overall it was AA+++ We made Great memories Thank you will come again.

Beautiful Lake House
Nice home on a quiet lake. We had plenty of room for six adults and four kids ages two through eleven. The kayaks and raft were a big hit with the kids!

2024 Family Getaway
The property was as advertised! Clean cabin with plenty of room and all the creature comforts of home. Outside area and water recreational equipment could use some TLC but we cleaned up the kayaks and beach area to suit our needs. The swimming area is ok and the fishing was pretty good. Nice fire pit down by the lake which was a nice relax area at night. Great location, close to food, entertainment, state forests, and shopping needs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful place to relax.

Fall Colors!
Came for the fall colors and did not disappoint! It was raining acorns most of the week also. Enjoyed the local deer herd, they really liked the acorns lol! We had nice weather all but one day. Really nice area, went s×s one day, what a beautiful ride!

Lovely and Tranquil
Perfect location for a peaceful family getaway. The home was large and had everything we could need, yet close enough to town that we could make a quick run to the store. The water was calm and we appreciated the paddleboard, and Kayaks that were made available. We have already booked a return trip for next summer.

Wonderful family getaway!
Northwoods Tuckaway was the perfect place for our family getaway vacation. Our group included eight adults and four children (ages 3-12). We were in the water every day, swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating, and just floating. The older kids loved the raft while the littles did great jumping off the dock. We cooked suppers over the fire pit, made s’mores and hung out on the swings late into the evening. Town is very close by, so it was just a short drive to the flea market, Wildwood Zoo, bait stores, and grocery stores. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great Family Vacation
We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Weather was perfect so we spent most of our time outside. We brought our own paddle boards and they were perfect for the small no-wake lake. House inside was a little dated and the outside area could use some minor updates and repairs to make it even better. Definitely would go back for another stay. Make sure to bring your own wash clothes, hand towels, hand soap, and paper towels.

Great little cabin
This was our first family vacation with our adult children and significant others and our 2 year old granddaughter. The cabin accommodated all of us and had plenty to do had the weather been a bit nicer…but we made the best of the bad weather. Fireplace was a nice option and also a great fire pit out back with hanging swings. WiFi was good and tons of games and DVDs to choose from! Property owner was very responsive to all our needs! Would recommend!!

Great vacation
House easily accomodated our extended family. Lake was perfect for swimming and fishing. We enjoyed the kayaks. Convenient location. Couches are outdated - bring cots instead of using sofa beds. Otherwise great stay.

Wonderful memories made in the northwoods
The purpose of our trip was to spend quality time together as a family to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We shared many memories and stories around the large kitchen table, the fire pit, on the dock, the deck, and the quiet nooks in the gathering room. And for that, this week was special. Our granddaughters are 6-10 and got to catch fish with Grandpa (for the first time), learn how to kayak and paddle board, and swim. The location is ideal – set in the woods on almost a private, quiet lake and yet only a few miles from stores, and attractions (zip line, horseback riding, zoo, etc.). The weather was ideal – hot days for swimming, and a cool day to visit the Wildwood Zoo. The owners were very responsive and helpful, easy to work with. It is evident that it has provided enjoyment to many people over a number of years. The cottage is large, including 4 spacious bedrooms and a large gathering area, filled with many mementos, decorations, and furnishings typical of a cottage on the lake. Plush bath towels were provided (new this year I understand), but no washcloths or hand towels. Even though there is no air conditioning, there are ample floor fans, ceiling fans, to circulate air and the house is in a shaded area. The outside steps need to be filled in to be level with the support on the steps. Steps to the lake also need some filling in. When the agreement states, “leave the house in the condition as it was found” it means that one needs to clean the house for the next renters and hope that you don’t have to clean too much to get settled in upon arrival. As it is in the woods there will always be pine needles on the decks, patio, steps, etc. We were there during peak pollen season and the winds blew it on anything in the open, including the lake water by the beach. Upon our arrival we did need to spend a considerable amount of time wiping things down, including the boat, kayaks, playground equipment, outdoor chairs, and tables, etc. As this is a large cottage and check out time is 9 am be prepared to spend time cleaning the night before and in the early morning, including vacuuming and mopping of floors. Fortunately, the vacuum cleaners worked well and there were ample cleaning products available. The cottage utilizes a septic tank, and the downstairs bathroom is at ground level which leads to low water pressure and could use some major upgrades.

Nice view of the lake but this property needs upgrading!
The large great room is very comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and in front of the fireplace. The brand new dishwasher is great, but the stove and refrigerator are old and falling apart. The bathrooms (especially the one in the walkout basement) need upgrading as well. Also, we did not have any towels when we arrived. After leaving a message with the host, we did hear back several hours later. He said that there was a note on the VRBO listing that they were not included. There wasn’t. When I sent him the proof from the VRBO website, he agreed to have the housekeeper get towels for us from a locked linen closet the next morning. This property is on a small, quiet lake, and we enjoyed using the paddle boat and kayaks. It has a lot going for it, but needs some TLC!

10th wedding anniversary
We had a very nice time, very cute property. Could use some updating, such as the dart board has no bullseye, the bumper pool was missing a ball, could not get the downstairs tv to work at all. However we had a fabulous time just hanging out with my family who was my wedding party. 💜 Jerry was great, very nice and helpful! Would definitely go back!
