Great little getaway
The place was great - spacious, clean, pretty, peaceful. Honestly, we had to book this vrbo property last minute after our other rental canceled on us a week before we were sst to arrive. It was further from the river than we would have liked, but it ended up being better than the previous place we booked. Big kitchen, beautiful windows and views, nice deck for patio games. Would recommend and would rent this property again!

Great stay in Wimberley
We loved our stay in Wimberley at the Restful Retreat. It was close to everything but yet away enough so you could enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We really enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub!

Properly Named- Restful Retreat!
Very relaxing stay! Close to Wimberley which has many cute shops and some nice restaurants too. Grocery store nearby and many opportunities to visit wineries and other neat sites. House was very spacious and beds were comfy! It was also clean and fully furnished. Highly recommend!

Relax and Soak
The property is beautiful. The kitchen was large and has all the utensils needed. The bedrooms are so cute and mattresses comfortable. The hot tub was clean and easy to use. If you are dependent on internet 24/7, be weary. It was a little spotty since it seems to be based off of satellite. We just used our phone hot spots as back ups and got along fine. There are some kitties that seem to live under the house which was a welcomed surprise. For the price, I think this is a great vacation rental.

All in all a good time!
We really enjoyed our stay on this property. We only had a couple issues/notes. The main master suite tended to have a sewer-y smell, we believe due to the septic system. The other en suite bedroom has a window in the shower and a door to the outside, neither of which had any blinds or curtains. While the house doesn’t have neighbors right on top of it, it would still be nice to have a little more privacy. The upstairs loft also has a window with zero blinds or shade, which is a problem when it comes to the sunrise in the morning. It makes for an incredibly bright room. If you can sleep with a sleep mask, we would highly encourage you bring one! For any of the rooms-it does get quite bright in all the rooms. The kitchen supplies are quite limited and I would recommend bringing your own dish soap/toilet paper/laundry detergent/shampoo & conditioner. Supplies were either very low or not there. As far as location goes, it can’t be beat! Close to winieries, restaurants, town and trails! And the view is absolutely beautiful. The hot tub also adds a super nice touch! It did feel like our own little oasis.

Lovely House for a lovely time in Wimberley
This house was perfect for our girl's weekend trip to the hill country. Nice and open, large windows, large kitchen. The patio is very large and offered such an amazing space for dining outdoors. The hot tub was amazing and got nice and hot. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are spacious and elevated. Would totally stay here again!

House was good, management company was terrible
We’ve rented houses throughout the years from HCPL and normally have a great experience, but this one was subpar. The house itself was good, aside from the night the grill caught on fire and ruined our prime ribeyes. My BIL tried starting the grill earlier in the day and couldn’t get it started. We contacted management and they said the starter was broken and to manually light (the gas) grill. After that didn’t work they said they would send a tech out. The tech came out and told my 13 YO niece that he left the gas on to burn off all the excess grease and buildup. My BIL later went to grill our prime ribeyes, noticed it wasn’t even flaming up high, then all of a sudden it was filled with smoke and SET ON FIRE. Clearly the smartest move was to use a fire extinguisher, had to act fast since the grill is not even 2 feet from the back door…. We sent a detailed email and pictures to the management company to let them know what happened and to kindly ask to be reimbursed for our ruined steaks. All they have said is, it’s not there fault, it wasn’t dirty prior, they owe us nothing, and they aren’t willing to help in any way. Honestly I’m horrified at how they have chosen to respond. A fire hazard is not something to take lightly, and I’m pretty sure if the homeowners knew how this management company was choosing to handle this $60 request and situation, they too would be horrified. Think twice before renting here, would hate for anyone else’s vacation be ruined by lack of customer service and FIRE.

The house was beautiful house in a quiet location
We really enjoyed our stay at this house and was surprised at how much nicer and roomier it was compared to the listing. The rooms were very nice and everyone slept well. All the bathrooms are recently remodeled and were spacious and model with many great updates. The kitchen was well laid out and made it easy to cook large meals in for the family. Everyone said it was the kitchen they would love to have at their house. The balcony was one of the favorites for the family though. They enjoyed sitting outside and soaking up the scenery. This place was great and we highly recommend it but keep in mind that there are a lot of rules attached to this place that we didn’t know about so make sure that it works for your family and friends.

Great for A Girls Weekend
Lovely house! Great place for a girls weekend. Lots of room, great amenities. Wifi is spotty so watching the TV was a bit of a buffering nightmare but it is in the middle of no where. Kitchen was gorgeous, rooms were stunning. Thanks for a great time!
