The property has greeted us with some fresh cinnamon buns! A nice small detail to help you feel welcome!
Brian - one of the property managers - has equipped us with instructions for the house explaining where everything is, including what to see and where to eat. He was also very responsive to ad-hoc questions!
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything from dishes and cups to appliances to spices (a lot of those). Really useful when traveling with a large family. The only small inconvenience in the kitchen was a kettle that would leak when pouring water.
Game room in the basement was packed with various games - from the pool for adults to table hockey to various table games for kids. Very useful things to keep kids busy in a good way :)
The backyard was, perhaps, the best thing about this place. Equipped with firepit, this was the place where we'd meet after the long hours of trailblazing to share our impressions and enjoy the evening lake. I have to say, I haven't seen such starry skies ever before. Even northern Michigan is far behind...
The house also comes with some kayaks and a pedal boat - I just wish the water was not as cold when we stayed there :)
A few things that can be improved: the carpets were dirty with some sticky stains in one of the rooms. Some of the restrooms were a little dirty.
Cellular coverage in the area is spotty at best, so wi-fi in the building was very welcome. The internet connection was a little slow for about 10 devices, though.
Among the things to see in the area, Whiteface mountain and Ausable Chasm were the most exciting, so make sure you visit them.
