When we arrived, the homeowner had not sent us the entry code, leaving us waiting before we could even get in. Once inside, the house smelled terrible, none of the beds were made, and there were dead flies in the windowsills. A patio window was broken, the hot tub was not working, and there was leftover food in the fridge.I informed the host that the hot tub was broken, but he never responded at all. They had to send cleaning staff during our stay to do what should have been done before we arrived. After that, we found the pool table couldn’t even be used because one of its legs was broken.The patio room flooded when it rained due to a hole in the roof. While they fixed one large hole, another smaller leak remained and continued to cause flooding. Every door in the house was hard to open, showing just how poorly the property was maintained.Communication with the host was terrible throughout. When I asked about a discount for all these problems, he offered a pontoon ride instead, which we never received.Overall, I would absolutely not recommend this property to anyone. The poor communication, lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, and failure to address problems made this a terrible experience.
