The owner should make it clear that this property is NOT suitable for a person with mobility needs. 42 steps to the upper floor is not “a few”stairs.
I did tell the owner before we went that I had a mobility scooter and used crutches to walk and could manage a few steps.
Directions should be clearer. It took an hour to find the property when we arrived.
I suggest ‘The white door set back between the Dry Dock Café and the animal charity shop. This would make it easier to find.
It would be helpful if there was a ‘Welcome folder’ with instructions on how to use the TV, the radiators, the jacuzzi and the stove.
A plumbing failure, (a substantial leak from the jacuzzi causing a flood on the floor below and a problem with the top shower), meant that we had to stay in until the plumbers left at 2-30pm on the Sunday. We had planned to go out for the day so, sadly lost a day of our short stay.
The spiral stairs going up to the 3rd floor with no hand rail is dangerous and probably illegal.
The situation of the flat is very convenient, near the beach and the town shops.
It probably wasn’t the best holiday we’ve ever had but there were a few positives.
