El acceso al Bosque Nacional San Isabel está a solo media milla de distancia, lo que brinda horas de exploración a pie o en alquiler de caballos, ATV y ciclismo. Great Stay!
Quiet and secluded location, but also close enough to the towns to get supplies and shop local stores. The space was warm and comfortable during cold and snowy weather. Perfect for our getaway and hit the spot for cabin relaxation!

Lavonne is the Bomb!
Just loved the stay here. Almost don’t want to say to much because I would like to be able to always schedule here again. The place is beautifully appointed and run by Lavonne and she is awesome. Everything was top notch for a cabin in the woods. We got 3-4 feet of snow while I was there and Lavonne took great care of everything.

Recharge the ole battery
Thos was an amazing short 3 day recharge for myself. I witnessed the 1st snow of the season here. Being from West Texas, snow is very uncommon. This was absolutely gorgeous to see. The cabin was everything i could have wanted. Cozy and so inviting. Loved the solitude and remote location. It was everything that i needed. I loved this place for sure.

Perfect escape
The Hideaway is a storybook cabin. Your first view of the cabin tells you that all of your expectations are going to come true. The cabin is clean and neat. It is supplied with everything you will need. The deck is sunny in the early morning and shady in the afternoon as you relax and look out over the valley enjoying the peace and quiet. The pool table is great evening fun after dark. You can see birds and deer from your bedroom window. The stars are amazing. The air is fresh and the water is sweet. The main l bedroom in the loft is beautiful. It is spacious and the bed is comfortable. There are maps and books in the cabin to help you learn and explore the mountains nearby.Everything is well maintained. There is even a garage for your vehicle. The Hosts are accommodating, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Your dream cabin come true! 10 out of 10 stars!

Quiet Mountain Getaway
We had a great time exploring the 38 acre property during the day and playing board games and pool at night. The cabin was well shocked with everything we needed. During our stay we took a couple trips to Westcliffe to enjoy a yummy Mexican food at Imperio Azteca, ice cream at Stage Stop, and shopping at the other shops in town. Visited Bishop Castle and Lake Isabel about 40 minutes from the cabin. We really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Cabin Stay
Our second stay at The Hideaway and hope to go back for a third! Lots of land to explore, kids counted over 30 deer spotted. Very cozy and welcoming cabin. Quiet, remote, relaxing and just overall wonderful. Thank you!

One of the BEST VRBO properties I have stayed at
Excellent all the way around. Beautiful and well appointed cabin, nice quiet location - very nice and secluded. Working with host was especially easy. Prompt follow-up on questions. Directions very clear (note - I was able to use Google maps all the way there the day I arrived, even though as the Host says cellular service is a bit spotty). No problems with Internet, which was plenty fast for uploading drone videos I took in the region to my server at home. Overall fantastic - I look forward to another visit with the rest of my family.

My gf and I loved staying here! It was very secluded, couldn’t see any neighboring houses unless you walked out on the long driveway. Lots of pine trees and great hiking spots all around. House had everything we needed

weekend getaway
The wife and I had a great time at the Hideway! The driveway was plowed of deep snow. I used my truck to get their and only had to use 2WD even though the truck had 4WD. The owners were great! A great place to stay for our anniversary weekend. Our only visitors were 8 deer and they just looked at us. Nice and relaxing! Hated to leave and was hoping to get snowed in, but sunny skies all weekend.

4 wheel drive needed
The area was gorgeous but the listing didn't mention 4 wheel drive was needed. Maybe we were naive but many other listings mentioned that. The property is located in a valley so we thought we would be fine getting there since it wasn't up in the mountains. However, it is located on county roads that are not maintained. We dealt with that part but the driveway had fairly deep snow that our Traverse could not handle. My husband was able to get us unstuck but then we struggled to get back to town by spinning out on a hill. It was worrisome due to no cell reception and it being fairly secluded. The owner was kind enough to give us our money back so we could find new accommodations which I am very grateful for.
