While it's generally a lovely home, this stay was a massive disappointment for our family. Our booking decision was 100% based on the private indoor pool and it was the only reason we were willing to pay such a premium for the property. The host messaged us just a few hours before check in to say that the pool pump wasn't working and that if we really wanted to use the pool, we probably shouldn't go in past our knees. I'm not sure what was more discouraging - the incredibly late notice that such a critical amenity wasn't available, or the completely irresponsible suggestion that "maybe we could use it anyways." They were able to get the pump fixed about halfway through our stay, but then refused to negotiate in good faith on a fair and appropriate discount for having such a key amenity unavailable for half our stay. The meager take-it-or-leave-it offer they finally made, after we'd already checked out and despite repeated inquiries, paled in comparison to the actual inconvenience.The rest of the house was fine. There was ample space for our large family and we made the best of our stay, but all in all the home and management company left a terrible taste in our mouths.
