“Nice hotel, we enjoyed a one night visit where we made use of the swimming pool, steam room and mini golf as well as ate in the restaurant. Overall very nice and the food was particularly good, couple of negatives, we had rooms which have spa baths, these weren’t usable as the pumped out grime when you try to use them so I’d suggest saving the money and not booking this. The mini golf whilst fun is also getting very tired and is in need of repair. It was a nice place though overall and would...

“I have to say that the hotel met absolutely my expectations. The room was comfortable, nice and clean. Furthermore the hotel staff was really nice and friendly. The only negative aspect was the cleaning of the toilet once we were staying in the room. For instance, in 4 nights we had the same towels although, I imagine that they would have solved the problem inmediately if I had notified it. In general, everything was quite good. I strongly recommend it.”

“The George is a lovely old building but needed a bit of tlc in places. The room was comfortable and in a quiet position with parking right outside the room. The setting of the hotel is beautiful- next to the river in a lovely little village but there are no other amenities nearby. The food was nice enough although my gammon was overcooked and a little dry. The breakfast was plentiful and there was lots of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful.”
