Overpriced and Underwhelming Post-Milton Tornado Stay
Our stay at this property was disappointing, especially considering the luxury price point. While we understand that the recent Milton tornado may have impacted the condition of the house, there were several issues that made our experience far from what we expected.
Upon arrival, we found the house wasn't properly cleaned. There was trash left behind, and the king-sized bed was missing slats, making it difficult to sleep comfortably as it didn't hold up well. A vent door also fell off during our stay, which clearly showed that the property needed maintenance.
The key code for the door didn’t work, so my fiancé and I had to share one physical key. This was frustrating, especially since we had different schedules, as this trip was more business than pleasure for us. It made things quite inconvenient.
Although we eventually enjoyed the pool, it required a deep cleaning before it was usable. On a positive note, the neighborhood was quiet, and Miami isn't too far—we even had a great meal at a Michelin-star restaurant, Los Felix.
Communication with Blake was decent, but there needs to be a significant improvement in the cleaning and maintenance of the property for it to live up to the luxury experience the price suggests. At this point, it’s not even close.
