Vacation Precious Memories

We enjoyed having our kids and grandkids for the 5 nights and days of fun and activity experiences including beach walking, bike riding, fishing, blueberry picking, volleyball along with enjoying the various eateries in the Grand Haven and Holland area. This was out third year and will return !!

Great Location!

First, the house was great and well maintained for our family of 9 (2 grandparents, 4 parents, 3 kids 6-8. The location really is great if you’re ok not being directly on the beach. You can still see Lake Michigan but have to walk a very short distance to get a direct view. If you’re going to the beach for the day, you can use the neighborhood beach access and then just walk down the beach to the public access to set up. We did it a few times with kids so the trip took a little longer than if you didn’t have kids stopping every 20 years to play in the sand or pick up random stuff on the beach. But if you make a direct line, it’s probably a 10-15 min walk. The house was outfitted with just about all the utensils we could have needed to cook, prepare and store food. The only complaint we had was that the cleanliness of the house was a bit discouraging. The bathrooms / showers didn’t seem to have been cleaned from the previous stay and the floors needed a good mop. The couches also were stained and seemed to have had pets on them a lot. Location was great (about 15 mins to Holland) so we were able to do some morning activities in town and hit the beach in the afternoon.

Our stay here was wonderful. So spacious and accommodating for my family of 6, and, as owners specified, design of house is mindful of everyone's space and privacy. Cleanest property I've stayed at and stocked with amenities- we hardly needed to use our own (toilet paper, beach towels/chairs, dryer sheets, cups and dishes, even mini pancake/waffle maker, etc.). Local beaches are literally few mins away from property and are very well-kept and huge (note that this isn't a waterfront property; waterfront is reserved for permanent neighborhood residents but not a problem at all for our family as we do not have little kids and didn't mind a 2-min drive). They felt like private beaches and were much better than Lake Mich. waterfront from Traverse City. Property is also so close to the downtown area, yet still immersed in the rural scenery such that we were able to smell the crisp lake air and take in all the greenery without being inconvenienced when we wanted to go downtown in the evening. Rental company was also super hospitable, courteous, friendly. Hours to contact them were plentiful (I believe until midnight), though there was nothing else we could possibly need. Plenty of games to play with the family. Bedrooms are beautiful, roomy, and well-designed- modern with an organic feel. Overall, it was the perfect property to explore the quaint culture of Grand Haven and unplug from the city. Definitely recommended to friends and fam.

Beautiful house that impressed everyone in my group

I think this is the nicest Vrbo that I've ever stayed in. Everything was immaculate and lovely, and exceeded the photos—my kids were surprised and delighted by the karaoke machine, board games and funky accent pillows. The kitchen was well-stocked (we loved the variety of Keurig pods), and the comfiness of the beds was a topic of conversation every morning.
