“Very remote feeling but only 5 miles from town. This place is a little gem, with all the amenities and then some to make sure you feel right at home. We appreciated having somewhere close to our kids to be able to have a holiday dinner with. The sound of the river while outside was so peaceful. And we walked down to it to skip rocks. “We were looking for a space to just get away and spend time together. This met that need. The hot tub was the selling point for us. However, we didn’t do research on what a mineral hot tub is and it had a smell so we didn’t use it. That’s our fault. The location does allow for pets and there was a bit more hair in the kitchen than anticipated. Otherwise, great little get away. Thank you for having us!”

“We stayed a few days in Steeleville, MO, during our Rte 66 road trip thru MO. Our host was absolutely wonderful! We ended up arriving later in the evening, in the dark! She actually contacted us, providing directions and maintained contact with us until we arrived. She made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival... even a bottle of wine! With her vast knowledge of the area she was able to provide so many excellent suggestions for food, shopping and site seeing. We LOVED the quaint...

“This quaint cottage was absolutely wonderful to stay in. It was very clean and it was the perfect amount of room for our family of 5. We came back for the night after dark and had a hard time seeing the driveway! Maybe add some lights to line the driveway so it isn’t dangerous turning off the main road. Highly recommend staying here though! We had a great experience. ”
