Wonderfully equipped property, couldn’t ask for more. House and grounds were exceptionally clean and organized when we arrived. Very spacious for two family gathering. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook full dinners; extra appliances; plenty of cookware; and ample dining areas (inside and out). We rented house for a boating weekend on the St. John’s River. Great views in all directions. Fun restaurants on the river close by. I even kayaked across the river one morning to watch sunrise, and could see lots of wildlife in the Ocala National Forest. We would happily return!

This property was amazing we loved everything about it we enjoyed the fire pit with the kids making smores the grills to cook our steaks and most of all the kids loved the crab traps. The home owners have provided such a beautiful place all the amenities are covered right down to any utensil you might need. Thank you again for allowing us to enjoy your little slice of heaven.

River trip

Pictures do no justice house was more beautiful in person great location on the river. The kids loved fishing off the dock and the boat lift made the stay so much more simple with not having to go to and from the boat ramp every day! We will definitely be back for another stay

Gorgeous HOME

Home is beautiful and views of the St. John's River are spectacular. We had an amazing time and enjoyed our Thanksgiving day meal just relaxing and enjoying the River. Must say that the Direct TV package matched our own and it was top notch so that was a surprise and a plus. Would highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a beautiful and comfortable home away from home. And we had our 2 fur babies with us and they had a wonderful time too.

Annual Fishing Trip

We stayed this past week to fish on St. John’s River. The house was perfect and accommodated us perfectly. The dock with the fish cleaning station was a major plus for us! We will definitely be booking for our trip in 2025.

GREAT PLACE, GREAT VIEWS!

We hope to return! If you're looking for a place to stay on the river in Welaka, don't hesitate to book. Owner interactions were great. House has everything you could need. The neighbor 5 or 6 houses down, has a large ice machine outside and encourages everyone to help theirselves. Neighbors were super friendly and loved to say hello. We were able to bring our dogs and without any crazy extra fees. The house is just feet from the dock, with a boatlift we could use. The views of the river and sunset were perfect, even from in the house. The house has 2 separete living areas. Downstairs is handicap friendly and with a lift to the upstairs. Having the separete areas was great, as we weren't in each other's hair :) Really a great place for my husband and I, our kids, and my parents.

Beautiful!

This house is beautiful and spacious. You can fish right off the dock or bring a boat, as you have your own personal boat slip. The owners really thought of everything. It’s the perfect place to stay to do some fishing, relaxing, sit on the balcony and just enjoy the water or sitting by the fire and making s’mores at night. We enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again!

Great getaway

The house is just as described in the listing. When we arrived the house was clean, odor free and had all the amenities needed for our stay. The neighborhood is very quiet with a relaxing feel. The house appears to be newly remodeled. The dock and boat lift was a nice addition. We highly recommend this home if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway on the water. We will definitely be back.

Traditional Fun Family Getaway

We have always taken the 4 Grandkids away, somewhere close by ) to have fun & create memories . This began when they were little, In place of more stuff /Christmas Gifts that they would never remember ~~ Now they are teens & 20's & they still love playing games together , fishing , building fires ,talking about family memories , laughing etc. We plan to carry on the family tradition as long as we can & they want to :) FAMILY IS FOREVER This was our first time at this home & location & we all LOVED it !! Perfect & Beautiful place ! They want to go back next year ~ YAY!!

Alaqua Boys Fall 2023 Fishing Trip

Wow, what a view in the morning having coffee on the top porch. I can only speak for the bottom bed but it was absolutely great. This house has it all. We are looking forward to renting it again in the spring for our next fishing trip. We all loved it , thanks for letting us stay.
