“Location wise this will not be for everyone as it is a little secluded, but for those whom are looking for a base to use that isn't Town / City centre it is ideal, beautiful setting with friendly and welcoming staff; this was my second stay in as many months and although not my usual choice of hotel (usually boutique / luxury hotels) I found myself submerged in the "quiet charm" of the hotel and staff; I would also add that the beds (mattress topper / linen) is worth of any 5* hotel that I have...

“Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. ”

“Excellent service. Very old building so there a few things that are as best as they can be but are not what you may expect. For example, the tub is higher than normal and would be problematic if you are older. Heat seemed to be missing except in the bathroom. Still, we would easily stay there again when we return. ”
