Extremely clean, great location, peaceful neighborhood, easy access to DC bus/Metro routes!
Hugh was a wonderful, attentive host during our week-long stay in the DC area. He is extremely responsive and helpful and saw to it that our stay the very best that it could have been. This living space is well-appointed and exceptionally clean, nestled in a quiet neighborhood away from the bustle of downtown -- but all the DC sites are an easy bus/Metro ride away. The wifi is excellent. I work from home, so took my laptop with me so that I could work and participate in Zoom calls and so forth. Had no wifi issues whatsoever. Super comfortable mattresses as well! So much nicer than staying at a hotel. This was a "home away from home" for us, and we hope to stay again the next time we're in the DC area!

Great place to stay!
Hugh’s house is a great place to stay! I stayed at his house with my mother and son (11 years old), his house is very clean, comfortable, and in a safe neighborhood. Hugh was very easy to reach and responded quickly to my messages. He gave us super helpful information about the neighborhood and transportation (using Uber, the metro, etc) which was so beneficial when making our daily plans. We loved our stay!

Wonderful home and location
We loved our stay! Zero complaints!!! Beautiful neighborhood, beautiful home, great location! The beds and pillows were SO comfy! Hugh was a wonderful host! Gave us lots of tips on food, shopping and the area in general. We visited DC, Merriweather and Baltimore and had a fantastic weekend! Will definitely stay here again. 5/5 stars ⭐️

My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed the amazing landscape for this VRBO. One sister has Parkinsons and her therapy is walking briskly up hill for 30 min per day. We were able to find suitable hills in the neighborhood which was safe, friendly and gorgeous! This VRBO is immaculate and the cushy carpet throughout was ideal for our morning floor exercises. We highly recommend this home for a DC visit...close to metro and Whole Foods and Chinese takeout.

Clean, quiet, and well supplied
My husband, I and 2 adult children stayed for visiting our relatives. The host was responsive and helpful. Lots of well thought-out supplies. It worked out for our 2 night stays. For longer stays, it'd be easier if a kitchen sink, a freezer, and a cooktop are available. The kitchenette was converted from the master bedroom closet. It doesn't have a common space, so we gather in the master bedroom. It works for a family; our adult kids prefer having a separate common room. But overall, it works well for having a clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Parking is great!

Perfect retreat for the end of busy days
We were 4 friends traveling for rehearsals at the nearby Landon School, so were gone all day, and looking for a restful place in the evenings. This location was perfect, and the host was amazing. Amenities were beyond anything I have seen in other VRBO's, and the host goes out of his way to make sure you feel welcome. Would give 10 stars if I could.

A gem for a DC visit!
Hugh did everything possible to make our family feel welcome and able to enjoy our visit to DC. The space is so clean, inviting, and charming- we loved it. Great proximity to the DC sights. We chose to drive in to the metro station for our daytime activities, but drove downtown at night to see the monuments as Hugh recommended, and had no issues. We will be back!

Excellent Stay
This property was very clean, comfortable, spacious, and quiet!!! After spending the days exploring DC this property was a wonderful retreat to relax and recharge before heading out again! Hugh and his housekeeper were excellent about communicating with us t/o our stay and making sure we were comfortable and settled in. If we needed anything at all Hugh was very prompt about getting back with us! Hugh also provided a list of nearby restaurants and shops for us to explore, which was most helpful! Cozy home away from home
This property was easy to find, and just as beautiful in-person as it is in the pictures. The spacious living area is perfect for four adults, and has everything to make your stay both relaxing and cozy. We had wonderful communication with Hugh, who went the extra mile to provide excellent recommendations for activities, restaurants, and resources in the area. My friend and I booked a trip to D.C. to see the sights and get away for a few days. We booked this location based on the pictures, amenities, and location to the metro. The properly is exactly as stated. Hugh was a wonderful host. We strongly encourage anybody looking for a place to stay in the outer D.C. area to book this property. Our stay here was comfortable and relaxing. Its great to be so near the city, but be able to escape the noise when its time to relax. This home was in a beautiful area. We had our own private entrance and all the conveniences we needed for a 4-night stay.

The apartment is located in a beautiful picturesque location. The host was excellent and answered our requests very quickly. The apartment was well appointed and very clean. The rooms were very large and comfortable. If I visit Washington again I would definitely book this again.
