Great family vacation house

Wonderful getaway!

Thoughtful Details
This home was exceptionally clean. The "no pets" rule helps with that I'm sure and as a person with allergies, was greatly appreciated. The venue has many thoughtful amenities: A well-stocked coffee/snack bar, ping-pong and other games in the garage with popsicles in the freezer, lots of streaming channels to choose from, and much more. We explored Astoria and Fort Stevens, and had good coffee and pastries just down the road at the bakery at the four-way stop. Very pleasant, convenient rental. Highly recommended.

Swallow the anchor stay
This house is amazing!! Well kept, beautiful home. Lots of room for our entire family of 11. The owners think of everything. Family games, ping pong, yard games, bbq, snacks, cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. You name it they have you covered!! Excellent!! A wonderful home away from home experience!! We used the kayaks on the lake and just a short drive to the ocean at sunset beach. We even rode the bikes there one day. Close to Seaside and Cannon beach. The only negative was the loveseat was broken and we hesitated to use it for fear we would fully break it. Other than that a definite A+!!! Wouldnt hesitate to rent again.. Thank you

Well stocked
Coffee bar and snacks were a nice touch! House was large, clean, and had everything you could possibly need. The location is quiet and central to all the local attractions. We found the house a little chilly albeit your typical spring break weather in Oregon… sunny, stormy, and even a little snow. A fire would have helped but we didn’t want to have to clean it if I’m going to be honest. The main bed was very comfortable I’m told. The other beds were a little too firm, I’d suggest a few foam toppers. As far as the rules go, they were a little overwhelming, but I completely understand the position the owners are in and feel badly for them… The neighbors are not very welcoming and it’s quite obvious they don’t want short term rentals in the neighborhood. Follow the rules and be mindful that you’re not staying in a frat house and you’ll be fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great Place
This was one of the most well stocked rentals we’ve been to - kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, even blankets! Beautiful location - we even got to see elk out the window. And so much to do! We used the kayaks, clam spades, games, foosball, and the kids had a blast with the toys! Enjoyed our time very much!

House is beautiful, but not worth the communication issues
The house is beautiful, but there is certainly not enough space for 14 people. Air mattress, which was considered a “bed” was flat. Had to fill out extensive waivers to even get the key code, and was only released hours before arrival because we reached out. Very grateful to have been able to enter the house “early” (check in was 5 pm and we were told it was nonnegotiable), but not without significant numbers of condescending emails and communications from the owner. It seems like there is a lot going on behind the scenes with home rentals in the area, but we didn’t really appreciate being treated as if we were going to destroy the place and break all the rules before we even arrived. Especially because we were completely transparent about our plans and number of people. Worth it because we really needed a place to sleep after the Hood to Coast, but otherwise just not worth the hassle and accusatory tone we dealt with.

I had a full conversation with the owner before checking in and she knew that we were having a birthday/moving away party with 9 13/14 year old girls during our stay. She had every opportunity to make her rules and feelings known before we checked in. 1st of all we were flagged by security because we had to keep going to the gate to pick up kids. She contacted me, I told her that one of the girls lives in the community and took it upon herself to give out her gate code for a friend to be dropped off and we were also transport kids from gate to house as they showed up. She said that it was probably flagged because we entered the gate code so many times but said nothing about the friend giving out her gate code. Then We discovered a sticker inside stating that they are watching and they have a listening devices in every room. The girls kept talking about how much they didn’t like it. My fiancé was grilling in back while talking on the phone and showing someone that he is being watched. She actually contacted me to let me know that she doesn’t appreciate what everyone is saying!!!! The next morning the last girl came and the girl that lives there gave her code. She said nothing the day before so I thought that was ok. The owner contacted me and said that we allowed someone access that wasn’t on my registered list even if it was just to drop a kid off at the end of the driveway. Supposedly there was a noise complaint as well. The girls stayed inside and were just having a blast being young teenage girls. So, she said she reported us to VRBO AND that we have an hour to get out of her home. I explained I have to get all the kids parents there and had suggested giving the code to the parents so we can have time to gather everything to be out on time. Rather then saying no, in came a new rule, she informed me that it would be $250 per vehicle that came to her house and that I could “pick my poison”! We have screen shots of house ad and rules before our stay and the new ones she added during our stay. We have video of house in perfect condition and we received our deposit back. Before all the crazy stuff, I wasn’t going to bother bringing up the dirty sheets or rotten creamer or that you have to replace “amenities” but this owner was so overboard. We felt violated and traumatized even days after leaving. Judging by her reviews and my experience, she will try to put it all on us but we have pictures and recordings as well, that back us up.

Perfect Girls Weekend
This was the perfect property for a girls weekend. There were plenty of beds for everyone and the coffee bar was amazing. We found the kitchen to be well stocked with pots and pans and a few pantry staples. The location was great for out outings into Seaside and Gearhart. The host had excellent and promt communication. And the house was beautiful and the decor was expertly done. I would 100% stay here in the future or recommend this property to friends and family!

If your staying in Warrenton OR this property comes with highest rating from us. Kitchen well stocked for a chef, site is walking distance to ocean, very clean property with comfortable bed. Property owners were available for any questions. This is truly a gem of a property

Beautiful home and location
This home was perfect for our 2 families. Great property and location. I would definitely stay here again. As for some of the other reviews, if you understand what the rules are and plan to follow them, then you're not going to have any issues. You can't have more than the 14 guests and if you plan to, than rent a different place. Pretty simple.

Perfect Stay.
This property worked great for our family. Lot's of amenities to make our stay work pleasurable. Beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets and linens. House was very clean and up to date. Would recommend this property for a great family getaway.

Buyer Beware!!!
I have spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted to convey to people who are considering this property and I can only say that I was both shocked & disappointed by the email I received after our stay & the list of things our family was accused of breaking or doing wrong which resulted in the loss of our deposit. The rule we broke is that no more than 4 cars are allowed in the driveway at a time. Due to a change in circumstances that I was not aware of prior to people arriving we had 5 cars. We tried to be diligent about making sure we stayed to the 4 car minimum but we were having dinner together one night & forgot about the car rule . The owner showed up to express her displeasure & advise me that neighbors were complaining & that one of the cars were sticking out of the driveway. I apologized & told her we would move a car immediately and we did. I was shocked to see a list of things that she is accusing us of breaking or doing wrong. It’s upsetting to me because it paints a picture of our family that isn’t true. We have rented many VRBO’s over the years and have never had a complaint or a problem If you look at the reviews of this rental or others they own I am not the first person this has happened to.

Horrible service
The house is great. That’s about it. The owner is horrible. I had flags raised from the beginning about the way she messaged wanting to know so much info. She was watching us from every corner. She said she lives 3 minutes away from the house. We had a few people come bring food and we went over the limit of house occupancy. The owner was watching us on her cameras that are all around the house. Then she called said we went over the limit and we have to leave. This was at night at 12am. Every hotel was booked. My mother had underlying health conditions, my wife was pregnant and just because we had so many kids and we all look young, even though we’re in our 30s, she wanted us out. No compassion. No heart. We rent houses all the time and always have great experience. But this lady ruined our experience. Her balcony door doesn’t lock. This is a danger because kids can go on balcony anytime.

Beware! Owner actively monitoring cameras!
The house itself was very nice with well equipped kitchen, nicely stocked bathrooms and bedrooms. We felt uncomfortable using stocked bathroom and coffee bar because house rules stated we must restock. The most unsettling part of our stay - the owner was regularly monitoring several outdoor cameras that recorded audio from the house. We received realtime e-mail warnings (one with audio and video of our children) reprimanding their vacation enthusiasm. We would not recommend this house for a family gathering with children under 12, because the owner has very strict noise and usage rules. Although accommodations were comfortable, being watched and scolded throughout our stay made us guarded and uneasy. Unlike the property description, the owner is definitely not interested in hosting a "bustling group".

Quick Weekend Get Away
We were in need of a place that would house a larger group all in one place. We wanted somewhere within walking distance of the ocean. A walk along an easy to follow trail, a jog and some sand found us playing in the ocean on a cool January day. Not far from the amenities of Seaside we all enjoyed dinner there before meeting at the house. The house features a beautiful coffee bar with an open kitchen arrangement - so whoever's in charge of cooking isn't excluded from the family in the living room. The large master bedroom has a view of the lake (also within walking distance, the weather didn't cooperate to encourage a trip there). For the littles, the play-set in the backyard was right up their alley. They would have spent all day on it if the weather hadn't driven them back inside. I found the owners more than helpful when I had questions. Quick to answer messages and help me figure things out that confused me.

Beautiful home fully stocked for all ones needs!
We had such a great family time here!! We forgot the coffee, found several choices already here! Many beds for sleeping! Family games , and the best was the karaoke machine!
