Small but clean and cozy. Bed comfortable. Lots of little extras provided. However, owner has dogs, one of which barked a lot when outside by the slider entry door. Also house backs onto major road through town

Wonderful stay!!
I was at this wonderful property for two weeks on two separate reservations so to see my detailed review check mine out from 1/1/25.But briefly, wonderful hosts, private, super clean & cozy! Recliner is the most comfortable chair ever! Very private. Perfect location by grocery (cheaper than by beach), little restaurants. Amazing scenic drive down mountain to beach!

Quit looking! Book this now!!
Very cozy! Super clean! Wonderful location, close to a great grocery store, better prices than by the beach!! Some restaurants too, (some new across). Only 5 miles down the mountain to a fantastic beach (A-bay, lots of free parking, lots of shady spots, clean restrooms and right next to the Lava Lava Beach Club!!) And what a gorgeous drive!!! On a clear day, you can look to left (and back a bit) and see the observatories on the top of Mauna Kea (tallest mountain in world from sea floor) and then you come around corner and see Maui across the ocean! It's a spectacular drive!Bed is comfy, great shower! Super well stocked. Love that they have water filter system, no need for bottled water!! And I am super fussy about taste of my water!Also love the electronic lock box for key, actually leave key in it on way out so never have to worry about losing it!Oodles of towels!Sherry & David are really responsive to messages, quick too! Total privacy but was able to meet them when I asked to do some laundry (in garage), she actually did it for me! Had really fun long conversation with them, such a lovely, fun, friendly and welcoming couple! But as I said, you have total privacy, they are just a text away!Living room/kitchen is cozy, yes small but never felt confining. Fun to be watching TV on the big screen and not have to stop show to get something in kitchen! Ha! The recliner was so spectacularly comfy!! Trying to figure out how to get it back home with me!

2nd Time Even Better!
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this lovely home, and I honestly didn’t think it could get any better. It did! Instead of the loveseat, Sherry and Dave have put in two recliners, new patio furniture, and a reverse osmosis system throughout the home. It’s nice to see hosts that keep the property up-to-date. Dave and Sherry are a lovely couple who make you feel like family! They stock this home with everything you made. Looking forward to returning!

This is one of the best vacation rentals we have every stayed in. Sherry and David are such nice people and so hospitable! David gave us a bottle of sparkling wine for our 53rd wedding anniversary! There were apples and protein bars in the fridge when we arrrived. The place was so clean and charming. Sherry did our laundry! We will definintely stay again if we come back to the Big Island.

Urlaub im Paradies
Vielen Dank an Sherry und David für den unvergesslichen Urlaub auf Big Island in Waikoloa Village. Die Wohnung war für uns in perfekter Lage und mit allem ausgestattet was man sich wünscht. In der Nacht ist es sehr ruhig auch mit geöffneten Fenstern. Wir sind bei der Ankunft spät am Abend mit gedimmten Licht, ätherischen Ölen, entspannter Musik und sogar mit Snacks und gefiltertem Wasser empfangen worden. Das war super und das haben wir noch nie so erlebt. Das große Bett war sehr bequem und es gab genug Stauraum im Schrank. Es waren genug Handtücher im Schrank und sogar Toilettenpapier. In der Dusche gab es genügend Shampoo und Conditioner und Duschbad. Es war auch in der Küche alles da und sehr sauber. Es wurde Kaffee und Tee bereitgestellt für die gesamte Urlaubszeit. Für Ausflüge gab es auch eine Kühltasche und Liegestühle und Strandtücher. Und für das tolle Schwimmbad der Community in Waikoloa gab es auch Karten. Für eine Ferienwohnung ist das alles sehr ungewöhnlich und wir waren sehr begeistert und wollen wenn wir wieder kommen gerne wieder bei Sherry und David und den bezaubernden Hunden wohnen. Wenn man nicht möchte bemerkt man nicht, dass man nicht allein wohnt. Doch wir wollten die Beiden gerne kennenlernen und die Hunde auch! Die Waschmaschine und der Trockner befinden sich nicht in der Wohnung sondern in der Garage. Man kann aber jederzeit waschen wenn man Bescheid gibt. Am Liebsten wären wir geblieben. Danke!

Cozy cottage with it's own separate entrance affixed to the main house. Well thought out and contains all the items most will need. Quiet beyond occasional traffic on the main road nearby. Great communication.

Welcoming, Clean & Comfortable
After a long day, walking into this unit was instantly welcoming....soft lighting & music, relaxing essential oil diffuser, cooling fans, lights snacks & cold water.....eliminating travel stress and shifting us to holiday mode. So lovely. We appreciated the cleanliness & attention to detail & quality in what was provided - kitchen knives that were actually sharp, coffee maker with good coffee pods, comfortable bedding, abundant linens, full 3 week supply of sundry items and community pool pass for length swims just to name a few, plus all the things that you normally find in a well-stocked rental. The property is easy to find, has a grocery store nearby and is in a convenient location for exploring much of the island. David & Sherry are kind & generous hosts, great communicators and go above & beyond to provide a home away from home for your holiday.

Super place with super hosts
The unit is extremely nice, equipped with all you might need, with beautiful landscaping. Maintenance of property is stellar. Sherry and David could not have been more accommodating (we old sisters could not figure out how to use Roku, so David came to the rescue in less than a minute! This was after 7:30 pm). We highly recommend this wonderful place!

Perfect for a single traveler!
Sherry and David's VRBO is loaded with top notch amenities. The beautiful wooden floors, the remote controlled ceiling fans, the linens and towels, the color scheme, the holistic amenities, kitchen knife set was pricey for a rental, the Keurig machine, and all the snacks in the refrigerator and chips!! Easy to find location! KTA Food Mart is minutes away. And the view driving down to the beach daily and sunsets are amazing!

Sherry and David's place was just right for us. For exploring the sights and beaches on the NW part of the island, location was great. VERY clean, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, beach stuff, and nice amenities. If we get to the Big Island in the future, we'd hope to come back here.

Throughout our visit to Hawaii we staye d many places but this was the cleanest, coziest, and the one that felt like home! When we booked we thought we would be closer to Kona (our fault not the hosts!) but it was a great location for beautiful beaches. 100% recommend
