Weekend Tip for Tournament
Chose a VRBO over a hotel for a long weekend / baseball tournament: more room, extra living space, kitchen, comfort, etc...
Potential renters should know there is large nuclear power plant about a 1/2 mile away which is yours to view from the right hand side of the house. It is light green and unfortunate as it would be a different home without it, ruins the vibe. You can verify this by inputting the address to Google street view and taking a walk down the road. Wish that I had done this before booking.
Smell...the house is located on a marsh and faces the ocean. You should expect the smell of low tide, not a huge deal. There is a smell inside the house. I'm not sure what it was....a subtle pungent odor. My wife thought it may have been the rug (real wool?).
The house is older as evidenced by the floors, doors, and trim. The kitchen has been updated and is comfortable to work in. The bathroom has been redone recently and was outfitted with soaps and shampoos which was nice. The beds were very comfortable and I slept well. I did like the furniture and art which were both unique.
The beach is 5 minutes walking distance. It's small but shows off a spectacular sunset if the conditions are right. Neighbors were friendly often waving when walking their dogs down the street.
Was it bad: No
Would I stay again: No
