Quiet, restful, spacious with a view.
My wife and I stayed here for 4 days in Feb. Five minutes to town , twenty min. to Silverstar. We had a lot of room , the cottage has 2 Bdr and a set of bunk beds. Main floor had ample room to have our daughter and her husband over for dinner. Kitchen living and dinning together in a open floor plan with skylights for brightness and a nice view of the valley. We would stay here again if we revisit the area.

Great place to stay with family or friends. Host is very welcoming and responsive. Beautiful scenery with an awesome view of the lights of Vernon at night. We’d stay here again for sure!!

Great cozy home base for the weekend
This made a great cozy home base for the weekend while we visited family in the Okanagan. Especially thankful for the pet friendly accommodation! There is amazing off-leash dog area near by as an added bonus. Communication with Pam was fast, easy, and friendly. We were greeted to homemade cookies and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate New Years. A delightful and thoroughly enjoyed surprise! Thanks Pam!

Idea location for winter ski holiday.
This was our second stay at this basement suite. Lots of space and good kitchen make it ideal for a base while doing skiing up at Sovereign Lake or Silver Star.

Lovely place to retreat to
I had a great time staying by the Barn up the Hill. The location is great, away from the town, but still close enough to go shopping, and not to far from the ski areas either. I particularly loved the layout of the kitchen. It has everything and more (like ziplock bags and emergency candles ;) ) and inspired me to try out some new recipes. The rocking chair on the porch looked really inviting, unfortunately the weather was a bit too cold to sit outdoors.

Peaceful Location
Loved the outdoor space although I had expected my front door view to be the lake. You have to walk to get this view. Very peaceful and was able to work under the veranda even when the rain was coming down. My pup and I loved the treats provided!

Quiet, Quaint and Comfortable
The rental is on a spacious property above Vernon. We enjoyed sitting on the patio furniture in the evenings to watch the sun set and then see the town lights sparkle as the crickets sarenaded us. The evenings are just the perfect temperature (September). The patio has a little heater if needed to take the chill off. The yard is lit up in a quaint way and the flower beds are pretty. The unit is spacious with everything needed to settle in, cook meals and relax. They seemed to have thought of everything we would need! The bath towels are so thick and soft too. The Queen bed is comfortable and the bedroom is a generous size with lots of closet and drawer storage. Paul and Pam were very accommodating and helpful. We very much appreciated that! They are excellent hosts. We would definitely stay here again. As mentioned in other reviews we got cookies to welcome our arrival! After a 6 hour drive that was so nice and made us feel at home! (Sorry Pam... now all your guests are going to expect cookies!) Thanks for everything!!!

Very nice, quiet and well-kept property. Close vicinity to Silverstar Resort for biking and skiing. Owners are responsive and very helpful if anything is needed. Would come back again :)

Lovely setting and peaceful location. Well stocked kitchen. Soft fluffy towels. Comfy bed and Soft good quality bedding Furniture both living room and outdoor patio furniture looked a bit worn but comfy nonetheless. No view of Swann lake as depicted in photos as bushes have grown too tal obscuring the view.

Enjoyable experience
This was a great place to stay. Beautiful property and a nice distance outside of the hustle of town. Very relaxing. Pam left cookies for me when I arrived and checked in to see if I needed anything. I would stay here again.
