Casa huerta en BX cerca de Vernon, en rutas de senderismo, cerca del esquí.

Restaurada casa de campo de 1940 en huerta orgánica con vistas a Vernon. Los campos alrededor de la casa solían estar llenos de manzanos espartanos, por lo que lo llamaremos Spartan House (queda un pequeño bosque de espartanos). La casa está totalmente equipada con mucho espacio para hasta 8 personas. La planta principal es de concepto abierto con cocina, comedor, sala de estar y área de entrada junto con un dormitorio, baño y cuarto de lavado. Arriba tiene tres dormitorios y otro baño completo.

Hay un gran patio junto al comedor con una piscina disponible para los huéspedes durante los meses de verano.
En los próximos años estaremos expandiendo el huerto agregando un bosque alimentario de árboles frutales y de nueces.

Estamos ubicados en 20 acres en el área de BX a 7 kms de Vernon BC. El sendero Gray Canal bordea la propiedad que se extiende por 50 kms a lo largo de las laderas del valle y es ideal para andar en bicicleta, caminar, montar a caballo y hacer raquetas de nieve. BX falls es solo una caminata de 3 km a lo largo del sendero desde la casa. El Sovereign Lake Nordic Center está a 20 minutos en coche cuesta arriba y el Silver Star Mountain Resort está a unos minutos más allá. Okanagan, Kalamalka, los lagos Swan y 3 parques provinciales están cerca.

Cozy rural house close to skiing
A group of Nordic skiers enjoyed their stay at this cozy, rural house very close to the Sovereign Lakes and Silver Star Nordic ski centers. The large kitchen, dining room, living room and roomy bedrooms easily fit the 5 of us. The entry way for drying boots was very convenient. We would stay here again.

Winter breakaway
Great time spent on winter holidays skiing and snowboarding at Silver Start! It is only 20 minutes away from the ski resort.The house is amazing and provides you secluded and calm environment if you prefer. Also we did a hike to the BX waterfall with the kids right from the house.And we could enjoy a hot tub after a hard day skiing!Thank you Patrick and Sean for hosting us!

A great home base for adventure
This is our 3rd year staying in the Orchard house during the winter, using it as a base for skiing at Silverstar/Sovereign Lake. We return because we get the best of both worlds; easy access to excellent Nordic skiing and the restaurants/bakery in Vernon. Our hosts are great communicators, the beds are comfy and the location next to the BX trails can't be beat. We recommend it to anyone who wants a low-key, comfy post-adventure house.

This property is awesome! It's in a very peaceful country location in BX with amazing views of the area and surrounding orchards. The Grey Canal Trail was just a few steps away. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Spot
Our friends were getting married in the area and we could not have picked a better spot! It had everything we needed to cook a nice meal in the kitchen, unwind (and nurse a hangover), and get some fresh air in the orchard and by walking part of the nearby trail. Thanks to Patrick for being so warm and welcoming!

Relaxing Stay in the Vernon hills
Property was very nice, couple issues with cleanliness from previous guests that were rectified instantly by the host. Little lacking when it came to kitchen staples but we have been spoiled at other VRBOs. Overall it was very peaceful and relaxing with the town and stores close by. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a nice retreat.

Golf Vacation
The house was well located for us as we played golf in Kelowna, Vernon and Salmon Arm. It had all the amenities that we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, bowls and dishes. The TV only had streaming services, so we did miss a Stanley Cup playoff game very minor inconvenience. Very quiet at night.

Perfect spot for a family getaway

Spartan House stay
Stay at Spartan House in Vernon was great. Minor issue during stay was addressed right away by owner. Needed to have contractor come in and worked with us regarding time so not to interfere with our schedule. Owner dropped in to make sure everything was good. Nice quiet place to stay. Would stay again if in the area.

Lots to Love about the Orchard Homes
We return to the Orchard homes for our annual Nordic ski vacation because: 1) Patrick, Sean and their kids are attentive, excellent hosts. 2) The beds are all comfortable. 3) The homes stay warm and are easily climate controlled. 4) The location is great; 20 min from skiing and close to Vernon for provisions 5) Close proximity to the hiking trail and very close to the outstanding Vernon dog park 6) Kitchens are stocked well enough for scratch cooking If you prefer a country setting and low-key post ski relaxing/gathering, the Orchard homes are highly recommended.

Farmhouse getaway
Wonderful house. Clean, well stocked with the basics (even provided olive oil and coffee beans!) PLENTY of room. Fireplace was so cozy. It was too cold for pool, but hot tub was amaze. We did picture that we would be in a secluded farmhouse, but it was on a bit of a busy culdesac with a pilates studio. Patrick was informative and friendly. Easy to communicate with.

Friends get away
My spouse and I booked this property for a friends get away , with 2 other couples Beds were comfortable, kitchen amenities were all you needed , close enough to shopping and stores . Great place for my dog as the yard was fenced and lots of area to walk him. The pool was wonderful even though it was late in the year we did use it a few times, the hot tub was the star at this time of year and it was used continuously. Owners were friendly and accommodating, supplied everything we needed in a timely fashion . We would definitely stay here again . Thank you Patrick and Sean for the wonderful vacation experience!! A perfect retreat
We had a fantastic time at the house. Quiet and private property, yet near enough to town to be able to easily run in for a coffee in the morning. the pool was very well used, as was the hot tub, and our dog loved having the large fenced front yard to be free to run in. Such a great option to be able to let her run and have fun, while the rest of the family is enjoying the amenities. The house is a very nice size, clean and comfortable, well suited for a family. Our hosts were excellent, there was a bit of a concern over being able to travel here due to the fires, yet we were past the cancellation period; they told us not to worry, see how it goes, they would honour the cancellation if we couldn't make it.....Ive heard issues with other renters who didn't have such understanding hosts, it gives me so much more confidence in the integrity of Patrick and Sean. Highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful nostalgic stay!
I stayed here with my siblings and it was a wonderful time! Twas a super fun family reunion. We grew up in the BX 1 km away from this house so it was wonderfully nostalgic! Big space to accommodate a big group and the pool was a super awesome add on! We also took advantage of the walking trails nearby to bx creek. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay again, thanks!
