Not the way we wanted to start vacation
This rental is rented out by another rental company not an individual! HORRIBLE customer service!
This is 2 units rented out as 1 there is no shared space.
I received 2 emails before arrival with the lock code (10 digits!) I made sure to double check that both emails had the same code, which they did. I also downloaded the app associated with the other rental company to verify I had all the correct information. Only 1 code on the “checking in” tab.
We arrived to the rental around 5:30 on Saturday. We quickly realized the code only worked for one of the units. I called the “24/7” number that was provided to me in email, voicemail, and on app. It went straight to a voice prompt. You can text or stay on the line. I tried text and after 5 minutes of no response called the number back. I sat on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up. Also tried messaging through VRBO app. No response. So all 6 adults and 2 children had to stay in the 1 unit (sleeping for 4) the first night.
I did finally receive a text from the auto system at 3:30 in the morning saying someone would be in touch shortly. However I didn’t receive a call till 9 the next morning where the agent basically told me I must’ve missed getting the other code, although couldn’t provide me with the communication of when it had been sent. We finally got the code and I was able to get a credit but it wasn’t even for 1/2 of 1 night!
