Our group needed 3 rooms. 2/3 rooms the A/C worked. After the first night, the room with non functioning A/C we did let the front desk know. We don’t think any attempt was made to resolve the issue during the day. When we came back to the hotel and raised the issue, we were moved to another room claiming the A/C worked but it was marginally better.
Rooms were never cleaned during the day. We had to ask for new coffee cups for the room. There were no towels provided till we asked.
It appears the location doesn’t have a restaurant. All food is brought in. So, you need to give an hours notice, if you wish to have your meal there. For certain food items, you need to give them 24 hour notice (eg crabs).
Bathrooms really need to be scrubbed down more. There is a fair bit of residue in the tile and grout. The shower in one room, didn’t want to stay where positioned. It would slide down the bar and spray at waist height.
When I booked the reservation, it indicated breakfast included (on the Expedia site). Upon check-in, they first said “no” and it wasn’t included. I needed to show the Expedia site before they agreed.
Lastly, we ran into a long time friend of the family who had booked in here. He is a native of Sri Lanka. After one night, he moved to another hotel in Jaffna town. From his perspective, the hotel was “sub-standard”.
