Acogedora villa de ensueño de 2700 pies cuadrados en un lago muy aislado, a 15 minutos del famoso pueblo pintoresco de Wakefield y del complejo turístico Edelweiss Valley ya 30 minutos del centro de Ottawa.

Situada en la ladera de una montaña con una instalación de vigilancia, la propiedad ofrece senderos para caminar y una apreciable calidad del agua para nadar y practicar deportes acuáticos.

Su gran terraza con barbacoa de carbón y bodega inevitablemente entretendrán las expectativas epicúreas de sus huéspedes. Amplia cocina bien diseñada y equipada para una fácil preparación de alimentos y bebidas.

La mayoría de las veces reservamos para bodas pequeñas, reuniones familiares, lugares de trabajo en equipo y experiencias de buceo y kayak.

The house was unclean and had foul smell
We are really disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. Toilet had yellow/brown stains. Broken floor tiles. Dusty table and counter top. Filthy bbq machine. Ripped couches and many more complaints. Basement had very foul urine smell and stains on the wall, looked like basement flooded before. Upon arrival we contacted the host to clean the house. But he didn’t send the cleaning crew on that day. Since we had no other option, we did some cleaning by ourself to stay in that house. Never coming back..

A nice stay | Wedding
We had a pleasant stay with our family at this cottage with a group of 10 people. The kitchen is well equipped with blenders, espresso makers, etc. The canoe had holes in it and was dangerous to use but we enjoyed all of the other water activity amenities like kayaks and paddle boards. The lake is clean, small, and very quiet. The view is fantastic from the window/dock. We hosted a wedding at this cottage; the outside area (like the deck) had lots of leaves and spider webs all over the place so we had to clean up quite a bit before we could stage the area for the wedding, but indoors was sanitary. We didn't have any children with us but the place has lots of things for kids, also. The host was very responsive to calls and messages and was great to deal with. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a large cottage with all the amenities. The area also has lots of stores nearby if you need food and other items.

Family Reunion
The cottage was absolutely perfect for our family of 11 including five kids ranging from 3-11 years. All three families had their own bedroom suites providing a retreat for quiet time when needed. It was a lovely touch to see 11 chairs around the dining room table. The beach was lovely and we took full advantage of the numerous boats provided to explore the small but much appreciated quiet lake. The fishing was amazing with a number of large bass caught. The owner was very quick to respond to any inquiries and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this property to families looking for a getaway. We certainly hope to go again!

Beautiful local and spacy cottage
Cottage was amazing! The location was a dream. Only a couple of things were of a 'turn off' - there was a foul smell coming from the closet by the washroom for the kids bedroom. Smelt like a dead mouse was in the blankets in the closet. - black mold in basement - the chair with the fringes in the 'living room' seems to have carpenter ants in it as it kept leaving a pile of wood dust everytime it was moved. - although the cleaning fee is low ($99), we didn't expect being the ones cleaning up for the next renters

Fun time get away
We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The villa has a beautiful kitchen and large dinning area for a good size crowd. The living area overlooks the water which was really nice to sit in the evening and chat while looking out onto the lake. The children loved their bed room and they were amazed at the toys they found. The master bedroom is huge with a king size bed which we loved. Three very clean bathrooms which is perfect with a big crowd. The little beach is perfect for the kids. Our grandkids spent most of their time in the water laughing and playing. They did not want to leave. Martin is a wonderful host quickly responds to question we had. We left with great memories and cannot wait until October to visit again.

Fantastic property
The waterfront was perfection. Sandy beach for young children, deep water for fishing and jumping off the dock for the older kids and adults. There was lots of room for our group of 13. We had a great week.

Mixed review
Lots about the cottage was great but Cottage is on lake Clair and I am sure the ad said lake McGregor. Owner said he would be next door 1 night and was there the whole time, coming to the garage at our cottage to get stuff out everyday. Kitchen was very nice, had everything you could imagine, air conditioning was a bonus, lake had a nice beach and lake was great for swimming but very small. Bathrooms were great, lots of towels & bedding but several of the sleeping areas s were old or somewhat broken. Really think the owner needs to invest in better beds and newer furniture. An outdoor eating area would be a great addition. We still had a great time.

Wonderful Family Time!
Beautiful property and lake! We had fantastic weather and enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards daily! Our six year old grandson took to the kayak immediately and that was all he wanted to do daily! As many other reviewers said, the lake most days we had to ourselves! There were games and toys for all ages. Our two year old granddaughter was beyond excited when she saw all the toys in the closet of the kids room! We had lots of space both inside and out for being together or for quiet moments to read or relax! We would love to stay again if we can work out a time to do so! Martin was easy to get in touch with by phone, text or email! He helped my husband step by step to turn on the generator when we had a power outage on the only day of storms and rain we had! This family time meant everything to all of us! We hadn’t been all together since Christmas with all the travel restrictions during COVID-19!

Amazing family getaway
Martin and his family offer the perfect cottage experience for all looking for a great get-away. It had plenty of water toys to keep kids and adults entertained for hours. The water was child friendly and safe for easy entry. The cottage itself offered plenty of space to accommodate our large group. The layout is perfect for families with young children who would require a bit of quiet time away from the entertainment space. Martin was a great host. He was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely rent this cottage again!

Lovely Place
Very spacious villa on a small, super-quiet lake. Photos are accurate. This was a perfect spot for our multi-generation family get away. The villa was well equipped inside and out, and Martin was very responsive to questions. Wonderful vacation spot.

Highly Recommended
Our group can't say enough good things about Martin and Isabelle's property in Val-des-Monts. Martin was very reachable during the entirety of the stay. Helpful information and guidelines were clearly stated upon arrival, and there was nothing that we needed that was not provided for us. It seemed as though we had the lake to ourselves, which made a relaxing weekend that much more stress-free. We met Martin on the morning of checkout, and he was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a secluded getaway. We hope to return in the future! Alec

Great get away
Had a great stay here with my family. The beach is perfect for family cottage life. Lots of kayaks and paddle boards. Only complaint was power line construction that was happening down the road, but that is out of Martina control, just recommend checking with municipal construction plans :). Martin was very attentive and helpful.

Family Vacation

Great for groups!
The Property was perfect location for our annual “Survivor” weekend with my group of friends that could accommodate that big a group of people. It was very buggy but that can be attributed to that particular wet season and late winter, but the property was big enough that we were able to hangout inside whenever the bugs got too much. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful view with a taste of fun for the kids
We had a very good experience here. The view is beautiful. The kids loved jumping off the dock and using the kayaks. The house was very spacious and provided everything we needed. It rained a lot this week so we couldn’t use the fire pit because it was submerged under water. Wifi very slow but probably expected for the location. We would definitely recommend this property to others. We had a great time.
