I feel like there are some things potential renters need to be more obviously aware of. Either they weren't stated at all, or it was so discreet that it wasn't easily known.
1-walked in late after it was dark and couldn't figure out how to turn the light on in the bedroom closest to the kitchen. Switched all light switches, looked for string to pull on fan, went to turn on lamp and the little knob on the lamp was missing, so you couldn't even turn the lamp on. My son thought to switch out that lamp with one from the living room so there was at least some light. The next day we discovered there is a remote attached to the wall behind the TV that looks from a distance like it operates the fan. It probably does. But it also has a remote button to turn the fan light on. Very poor design to turn on the main bedroom light, on a remote kind of hidden out of site behind the large TV.
2- This was a pretty big issue. We were there for a wedding, which means at some point ladies are fixing will be using hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons and the like for a dressy affair. I was shocked beyond shock that NEITHER of the two bathrooms have any outlets in them. My mom had to find an extension cord and plug in her curling iron in her bedroom and try to use a small decorative mirror on the wall to try to fix her hair. I had to do the same thing when she was done. I have been in many old and remodeled homes and have NEVER seen a bathroom with zero outlets, much less both bathrooms.
