Esta propiedad frente al mar fue construido por los propietarios con tierno cuidado amoroso. La casa cuenta con techos altos de pino, puertas de pino y molduras, armarios completos con agua sucia y el suelo de madera de la cocina de pino. La mesa de pino de ocho pies de largo construido por el propietario es perfecto para disfrutar de las comidas de la barbacoa. Un dormitorio tiene una cama matrimonial y el segundo dormitorio tiene una cama doble. El patio privado con vistas a la Reserva Ecológica Witless Bay Seabird, el hogar de frailecillos, gaviotas y otras especies. Observar a las ballenas desde el patio.

Peaceful Bliss
My wife and I, along with our adult son, enjoyed our entire stay in this very comfortable and wonderfully decorated home. All of the necessities required were on hand, the home is very clean and comfortable and the ocean view is truly fantastic. I strongly recommend this cottage and would gladly stay again.

Down sides.
Million dollar view was hampered by tall trees. Very deceiving. No closets, hangers, hooks or drawers (already full), to store our clothing. No practical hooks in the bathroom. Miniscule counter space in bathroom (a shelf would be welcomed). With the window in the main bedroom facing the road we were disturbed early in the morning (6am) by traffic noise (trucks, trailers, quads, etc.). Mattress sagged considerably in the middle.

This house is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Irish Loop of the Avalon peninsula. Whales are visible in season right from the back porch! There is easy access to the East Coast Trail, as well as Boat excursions to the Witless Bay Bird Sanctuary. The house is fully equipped with kitchen amenities to allow for cooking on site. It is a private little paradise.

The house was very clean and comfortable but there were a few things worth noting that if remedied, would create an absolutely amazing stay. There were a few treetops removed to give a partial view of the ocean but if more tree tops were removed, then there would definitely be a million dollar view. Upon entering the house, there is a musty smell coming up from the basement. The smell of the tap water was putrid- it smelled very strong of sulphur and should be treated.

Living like a Newfoundlander
First of all, I can't say enough about how wonderful the property manager was/is. We were even provided a very extensive list of suggestions on things to do and places to visit while we were there. The beds were very comfortable, the deck provided a sublime area to listen to the ocean and hear and see the seabirds and the large window in the living area had a section that opened, so we heard the ocean and birds all day long (when we were there). I was in heaven! Because i like Newfoundland so much, I do plan on returning one day and I would certainly stay here again.

Saw Whales Every Day
After 3 years of trying to get to Newfoundland, we finally did it and it was spectacular. This cottage is close enough to St.Johns that we could easily make day trips, but far enough that we could only hear the waves at night. We saw whales every day of our trip, BBQd steak on the deck, and visited all of the recommended restaurants. Thank you very much Yvonne and Boyd for providing this home away from home, our one and only regret was the weather was so great we never once got to see a storm roll through from the huge living room windows!

Entire house very comfortable. Bedrooms and bath small but plenty of living space. Lovely view kitchen well arranged and internet just fine. Nice and cozy during rough weather. Plan restaurants and food options before you come. All in all enjoyed the experience

Great place.
It is a well appointed with nice linens and towels.You get a sense of relaxation upon entering. It feels spacious and airy. A great feature is downtown is walking distance. And the best for last the host Rob is wonderful. His dedication to make sure you have the best time with no issues is unusual. Come and stay here. It was delightful.

Right at home
We were in Newfoundland for the May long weekend. We wanted somewhere comfortable and private with a lovely view. We don't get to see the ocean very often. Everything about our stay was excellent. Yvonne and Boyd were very easy to work with and made sure everything was taken care of and explained to us in great detail. We would stay in their beautiful cottage again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for having us. We loved it.

Beautiful place, amazing views
We stayed at the cottage for 4 amazing nights and were mesmerized by the view and sound of the waves. The cottage itself is beautiful, and so well appointed. Everything we needed was there, including coffee and spices when we did our own cooking. We felt very much at home and enjoyed every minute. There is so much to do and see close by as well! Hiking, iceberg watching and meandering around the small towns nearby. I would highly recommend this place for a stay in Newfoundland ❤️

Stunning view!
We had a marvelous time and Yvonne and Boyd's lovely cottage. The views from the deck, and even the kitchen window as we rinsed dishes, were stunning. Saw a whale swim by our first morning! Yvonne was so helpful and kind, offering many suggestions and was easy to get ahold of whenever I had any questions. The rooms were comfortable and perfect for our family of 3 (although 4 people can easily be comfortable too). The cottage was in an excellent location from which to explore the Irish Loop and St.John's. So many lovely places to hike close by as well. We loved our stay and would definitely book it again. Thank you Yvonne and Boyd for everything!

Truly Wonderful !!
A very special piece of Canada. This house and the Avalon region gave us the perfect vacation. We are "live local" travellers so not having to venture far to see spectacular vistas was exactly what we were looking for. The house is perfect with all amenities and a view that is really beyond words. The East Coast trail, St. John's, restaurants and attractions all within a short driving distance. Boyd and Isabelle respond quickly if you need anything and respond quickly to any question. We will be returning !

Wonderful property, location, and owners
This cottage is a wonderful place to spend your days and nights. The bay just off the back deck is lovely and peaceful. The air smells delicious all the time. The waves and sea birds are enchanting. Within walking distance are multiple hiking trails, and others are within a short driving distance. This is a great home base for exploring the Irish Loop, Avalon Peninsula and NL, in general. The scenery and nature everywhere are stunning. NL is an outdoor playground with much to do and see. Catching a whale frolicking is totally thrilling. This cottage is also a cozy, serene and beautiful place to spend a rainy day in NL. The house is immaculate, and the owners are friendly, fantastic, and happy to enhance your stay. I loved being here. Thank you, Yvonne and Boyd, for sharing your beautiful home.

Great location, great view!
We had a wonderful time at this super cute cottage. The house is in a great location to explore the Avalon Peninsula. It’s a quick drive from St. John’s and literally right on the East Coast Trail. The hike to La Manche Village starts right up the road from the cottage. The cottage is cozy and very comfortable. The view from the deck is amazing - bring your binoculars and you’ll see tons of birds and whales. It was a great stay!

Fun Time
This is a lovely place to stay. Saw 2 humpback whales in the bay when we arrived! Our second night we ended up with no water and had to contact our Hosts at 9pm. They were amazing , had the pump replaced by the next evening. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.

Well Equipped, Beautiful Cottage with Amazing View
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. We like to move in and really live where we travel, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. There is a lot to do in the area and we were able to see icebergs, thousands of Puffins and whales! On our last night there were Humpback Whales right in our cove and we were able to watch the show from the deck. The cottage is very comfortable and was very clean. With two bedrooms it has plenty of space. Our hostess dropped by to see if all was well and we had a lovely chat about the area. We loved our time in Newfoundland and at this cottage and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Location - Best People to work with!
Linex Cottage is one of the best VRBOs we've stayed in. Communication with the owners was above and beyond. The house is clean, neat and has all the amenities you could want. Nice, quiet neighborhood - both near to the city but far enough away to feel the peace and quiet. Comfortable. The view was awesome. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Charming home in a quiet cove. The view was amazing. Bedrooms and bathroom we're very small, especially the bathroom. A great location for traveling the Irish Loop. The bakery down the road had delicious treats. The only let down was the wifi was not working, although the owners said it should be up by Friday (we left on Sunday). Never heard from owners why that did not happen. Everyone we encountered was very friendly.
