We enjoyed our extended weekend family getaway at the Herrera Cabin in "A Pocono Country Place" gated community. The cabin has a very spacious, open concept first floor with a ton of counter space, a solid wood dining table great for family dinners or card games afterwards, and beautifully decorated with a genuine cabin feel. The pictures don't do it justice, there is plenty of space for family to spend time together. The kitchen was clean, has a working Keurig as well as a classic coffee pot, and random utensils and cookware. I would recommend bringing your own pots/pans/plastic cutlery and paper plates as there are not enough for a full family to use. Also, there was only one roll of paper towels in the kitchen, and the only bath linens that were provided are 2 full sized towels left on each bed. We had to request additional linens (washcloths, hand towels) from the owner after we arrived, but still didn't receive what was requested, only additional full sized towels and one hand towel. Beds are in good shape, nice looking sheets and comforters that compliment the woodsy, cabin theme. The 3rd bedroom with 2 Queens is in the basement which is freezing so bring your own additional blankets! Very nice game room with a bar and pool table. Foosball table needs some repair, is missing two or three players. Basement bathroom has no shower curtain, so water sprays everywhere, be careful. Random grate on 1st floor not secured, small kids could remove it and fall through the hole.
