Do not stay here.
We rented this house for a 2 month work trip. We arrived at night only to find no heat working, my husband had to fix the unit since the host wouldn’t get a repair man to come until the next evening & the host told us to “just go buy heaters” (not an option w 3 small kids, it was freezing!). I also found a review from a guest 2weeks prior to us who arrived to no heat also-so he clearly knew it was an issue before we arrived (but claimed it was fine just before we got there!) Then we had to go buy a carbon monoxide detector cause that wasn’t working either & he wouldn’t get one. The gas tech came & replaced the filter because it was black/nasty! We had to go buy a vacuum bc the provided one was so clogged (Note-the host approved these items we had to buy, said he would refund us but has yet to do so.) Then we noticed water on the floor from the dishwasher, we were told someone would come Saturday evening but never heard what time & then he said they would be there Monday. We asked if we could leave & get a refund for the remaining days but were told that we were being “unreasonable”.After 2days of the leak we checked the basement to see if the water damage was going through, it was & we also found a large area of existing mold. The host stop replying to us for 2 days,he finally replied & ignored everything i had said & accused us of disconnecting the camera outside, which we never touched. Finally after dealing w/VRBO we left this property. Avoid this “host” & his properties.
