It was a three star but the price was a five star; Dishwasher didn’t work; icemaker didn’t work; TV didn’t work; Garbage disposal didn’t work; I called the host on our first day which was Sunday left a voicemail and never realized a return call

Family ski day
This was our second time at the property. Great location for skiing at Crystal Mountain! Lots of space for us to relax and converse after a day of skiing.

Mid-Winter Tension Breaker
We decided last minute to take a quick family trip so the kids could go snowboarding. The accommodations offered everything our family needed, were very clean and comfortable, and just minutes from the resort. Check in was easy and on time. The shuttle pass had expired, but it was not too much trouble to drive to and park at the resort.

PERFECT for our large group!
The property was PERFECT for our large group. My husband and I took two of our kids, 21 and 17, and 10 of their friends. Everyone was comfortable and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy time together and separately. For me, the best part was the kitchen. It was open to the common space and I could interact with everyone while I was cooking. I was super prepared, but I failed to bring serving spoons and a spatula. The kitchen had EVERYthing, though, so it worked out. My one and only ding on the stars comes from the description. The listing said the property is a 1 minute walk from Crystal Mountain. I suppose it is a 1 minute walk to the road in, but it is for sure at least a 15 minute walk to the ski rental office. I wouldn't recommend walking if you have anything to carry except maybe a backpack. The host was very responsive and the place was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The garage space was awesome for the high school age kids to hang out in, even though it was pretty chilly in there. Space heaters provided helped. 10/10 would recommend this property. We will definitely consider staying again when we do this trip next year.

Winter ski trip
The location /proximity to Crystal mountain was fantastic for our winter ski trip with two families despite the limited snow and runs open. The set up of bedrooms and large couch, open concept was great for our visit. The sli storage area was a big bonus as well. The kitchen is well equipped. And the kids enjoyed the game room in the garage.

Beautiful home and location.
We enjoyed our family event. We had a wedding at Crystal Mountain. It was a 5 minute drive to the event. We loved the openness that allowed us to all be together without any crowding. Only disappointment was the hot tub not working and no bathroom facilities in the bedroom above the garage.

We loved staying here. The kitchen was well equiped, the house was clean, and there was lots to do. Great location close to Crystal Mountain resort. Communication with hosts was fantastic. Comfortable beds, too!

Perfect family summer getaway
We loved everything about this home, cleanliness, bedding and bath supplies, game room in the garage, hammocks and fire pit! Please add to the listing that there is a pack n play and booster seat! Also bags and ladder games for outdoors. We had so much fun with plenty of space for the whole family. Thanks so much for sharing. Tall Pines surrounding the property are spectacular.

Had a wonderful week at the cottage in Thompsonville! Exactly as described and MORE! Centrally located to all the things we wanted to do and see. We’ve NEVER stayed a house that was stocked so WELL for a rental!! Northern Michigan is amazingly beautiful. We’ll be back. The only thing we’d recommend is a second refrigerator. Two families and a house that holds 16 needs more fridge space. These kids eat a LOT! Doesn’t stop us from recommending or coming back just a suggestion. Thank you so much.

Perfect!
We had several siblings and our parents in to attend a wedding nearby. We could not be happier with our experience! Everyone raved about the comfort and accommodations! The view and surrounding property was stunning. Only sorry we couldn’t stay longer! Thank you for such a great stay!!

Overall, the rental was very nice.
The rental fit 9 of us very well. The trip to the slopes, very easy. The rental had all the amenities we could have needed. The only issue we had was from the hot tub. All of us that used it developed a rash on our skin.

Perfect vacation house!
Our family had such a nice stay. The house was exactly as pictured, very clean, and we had zero problems. There was plenty of space for all of us (five adults and two kids) and the extra room above the garage was great to have. We really enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the hammocks, the fire pit, and of course the hot tub was awesome! We come to this area every year and it was definitely one of the best vacation rentals we’ve stayed at.

Lovely get away in northwest Michigan
The house was lovely : large, clean and loaded with amenities! The setting was beautiful. The only negatives were the noisy neighbors late into the evening and the high speed traffic on the road in front of the house . Loved the hammocks, large porches and deck and the close proximity to Crystal Mountain, Arcadia and Frankfort !

Enjoyable property.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit and grill. And having an indoor hot tub was so convenient. It’s very close to Chrystal Mountain and waking trails.

Great escape near Crystal Mountain
We had a larger group stay for a ski weekend. Lots of room for everyone, hot tub was a hit and the few minute drive to the ski base was terrific. Comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms, well stocked kitchen and the big open plan main level made our stay wonderful.
