This was a great house. Kitchen was well stocked. We all loved the setting on the river. Nice size deck. Having kayaks there was a bonus. Plenty of parking. I would definitely stay there again.

8 Adults 6 children aged 8 to 67 all loved the home. Plenty of room and activities for everyone. Home was clean, comfortable and as presented. Easy check-in and out. Many little things like labeled light switches made the stay so easy and comfortable. No issue, perfect week. Great area.

Our week on the Betsie River was amazing.The house was fantastic, very clean and our host was very attentive to messages. We had two children and four adults and were very comfortable with the bedrooms and there was enough bathrooms for all The game room was so nice and the grand girls asked to return from the beach to play the games there.The kitchen was very well stocked and included spices and condiments. Toiletries and toilet paper was also well stocked. I also loved that they had a place for recycles that MI pays for their return. The from the recycles is donated to veterans.The area is great too. We did the Alpine slides at Crystal Mt and enjoyed traveling M22 to spend a day on torch lake, Glen Arbor and Glen Haven. The kids were ecstatic to find several Petoskey stones at Good Harbor Beach. We highly recommend this river house and the area!!

Beautiful place on the Bestsie river. The cabin had all the amenities we needed for a fantastic stay. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had and helped us full fill a very memorable family reunion/vacation.

Great Family Trip

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely fantastic! The moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated everything was. Perfect home!

Our family group of 10 stayed in the Northern Nest for a trip skiing at Crystal Mountain, which is about 12 minutes away. The home is very nice and well laid out for our group size. Nestled into the woods beside the Betsie River, this place is a 10/10! The owner is very quick communicating and was great to work with as well! We will be back this summer to do some kayaking!

Christmas ski getaway

Overall, lovely property, lots of bedding, comfortable family area, games, plenty to do at the cabin. Very clean, accommodating host , excellent 10 Minute drive to Crystal Mountain for skiing, road to get to property is long and windy and not paved.

We have stayed in this beautiful home twice and love the cozy feel. Wood burning fireplace, gorgeous views and close to all the things we love make this a perfect choice for us. David is a wonderful host.

Friends weekend getaway

This is a beautiful property and excellent location. Everything was as pictured and described. Short drive to restaurants and Crystal Mountain. We were there at peak fall foliage and it was gorgeous!! Our group was 4 couples and the accommodations were perfect for us. We loved sitting by the river mid afternoon, enjoying the warm sun and the sound of the river. Would definitely stay here again with family and friends.

Perfect in every way

Better than described. The most clean, comfortable, beautiful, thoughtful. The best of a relaxing and quiet location with nearby small town and easy access to so many desirable locations to enjoy in each season. Best rental.Owner makes you feel safe and welcome but without hovering. Very responsive and friendly.

Beautiful cabin in the woods!

We have so many wonderful things to say about our stay here. Beautiful wooded setting on the Betsie River, the cabin is so clean, comfortable beds and everything is well stocked. The lower level has so much space and there is a great loft for kids if needed. A little slice of paridise! We hope to return soon.

Perfect for buddy golf trip

Northern Nest is a great spot for a buddy golf trip to northern Michigan. It is within 30 minutes of some of the best golf courses in the area and is especially affordable during the shoulder season. Great location right on the Betsie River. For a group of guys, I would say 8 would be the max if you don’t want to share beds.

Awesome Cabin

We loved our time staying at "The Nest". This cabin has it all for a large group! We loved our time by the river, kayaking and playing games. The location was close enough for a day trip to Traverse City, Interlochen, Lake Leelanau & Sleeping Bear Dunes. The house is well stocked and has tons of sleeping choices between the bedrooms, loft space, roll away bed and air mattress. It was perfect for our group.

A cozy cabin with everything!

We've stayed at several rentals as family of 7 through VRBO and this cabin is one of the BEST! Anything you could need to be comfortable for the week was available there. The fully stocked kitchen made meal prep a breeze! We especially enjoyed the game room and leaving our mark on the pinball high scores list. :) Access to the Betsie River is amazing and the grassy area with a fire pit to hang out near the river was perfect. We had a great time. It was hard to leave!
