Family Christmas in July!
We’ve been going to Crystal mountain for many years and enjoy all the activities and towns surrounding us. We left a bag of dirty laundry and they found it and are mailing it back to us!

Family Ski Trip
This is definitely one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at! It is our third year returning and we hope for many more to come. Constructive comments: - Not the most flexible with early check-ins. - Firewood was not readily available. - Despite the title of the listing, there is no hot tub at the home. They are referring to the resort hot tub for which you have to pay $20 per person to use and it is about a half a mile away. It would be amazing if they would actually put a hot tub at the home. It’s really the only thing this place is missing.

Great location but customer service not so great
We had stayed at the property for a golf trip eight guys. Day one we noticed that the dishwasher did not work. We called Vacasa and they sent someone over right away. They told us that there’s nothing they can do. We have to just persevere for the five days that we were there. We cooked two meals a day for eight people and had to do all the dishes all week long. The house is great. The location is great. They say there’s a hot tub but there is no hot tub on the property. I assume they’re talking about a shared hot tub somewhere at Crystal Mountain, which is located very close nearby. Also, the shower upstairs did not drain properly and there was water in it for five days. We did not report that since we got no satisfaction about the dishwasher. When we return home, we filed a claim with a Vacasa and Vrbo I spoke to Vacasa four times and Vrbo three times about the dishwasher claim. The Casa made an offer which we felt was not reasonable for a refund just today almost 2 1/2 weeks later after calling Vacasa again we were notified that the refund that we agreed upon was finally put through. Too much time has been taken on our behalf to remedy the situation through Vacasa even when I called them today, they told me that the determination had been made days and days ago, but Vacasa never notified me of their final attempt at a credit. Just make sure in the future if you rent through Vrbo, and it’s handled by a management company in Vrbo has no responsibility. Overall a nice place.

Awful experience
The house was not cleaned properly, was infested with fruit flies, had MOLDY food/trash in the downstairs bathroom, had no extra amenities like shower towels, blankets, or paper towels. The counters were not wiped down, dishwasher did not work. Beds were uncomfortable, cheap mattresses. The downstairs floor had some kind of polish on it that was so slippery it was unsafe to walk. In addition, when I called to get the fruit fly situation taken care of, they said a local maintenance person would come take care of it and call beforehand. That never happened. Their checkout/check in policy is completely ridiculous and unreasonable. So disappointed in this place and VRBO.

Beautiful Home in Thomsonville
Very nice home base for our visit to Northern Michigan. The home is nicely decorated, beds are relatively comfortable (mattress on the queen bed in the basement was a bit soft), the kitchen was fairly well equipped however the microwave was not working while we were there (we reported this). There were no hairdryers (the listing was not correct on this point). Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Slice of Ski House Heaven
Loved this property… I hesitate to even say how wonderful this place is given I definitely want availability to rent again! The homeowner has thought of everything, and personally I think this is one of the best properties to rent at Crystal. Beautiful house, clean, incredible for an extended family stay. Walking distance to the slopes. House is even better than the pics. Loved our stay and will definitely stay again.

Annual family ski weekend
The house is spacious and beautiful. Plenty of rooms for our family to spread out and have our own space. The great room and kitchen were awesome for gathering. The house has great outdoor space and fire pit. It is right at the bottom of the sledding hill, jut out the back door which was perfect for the kids after skiing all day. Just a short walk to the chair lift. We have been coming to Crystal Mountain for years now for our annual family ski trips and this was one of our favorites.

It was our third stay at Buckaroo at Chrystal Mountain.
We were so pleased with the house, accommodations, and cleanliness of the house. We have a very comfortable stay both inside and outside the house. We appreciate how clean the house is and all that is provided for our use. Our nightly fires in the fire pit are always enjoyable! We did have an unsettling experience the second night when the fire alarm went off yelling “Fire! Fire!” after we had gone to sleep only to get up to no fire (thank goodness) and a screaming fire alarm. We all scrambled around the house checking to see where the fire was and luckily nothing was found! The alarm finally stopped screaming Fire after a while but nobody slept well the rest of the night. We hope that never happens again and we wonder what caused it this time. Very upsetting! The rest of the stay was uneventful and just lovely!

Wonderful place in a fantastic location
The house was spacious and beautiful! It was very clean also. This is the first family trip we’ve taken where not one of the wives felt like they had to clean any of the surfaces!! The location is great… off #10 fairway. It’s close enough to walk to the market but still felt secluded.

Great Vacation Spot
Right in the Crystal Mountain resort area this rental had lots to offer. The small complaints I'd share was that there was only one hair dryer and with five women getting ready for a wedding that was a problem. Also, we cooked a few meals at home and two kitchen towels were not enough. Otherwise I'd highly recommend this rental property. It was even nicer in person than in the photos!

Fabulous home for large family gatherings
This property was the perfect ski weekend property for several families. Everyone had their own space for privacy and we had lots of room to spend time together. The large windows on back of property gave us full view of the sliding hill, which was enjoyed immensely by the little ones. Would definately return to this property.

The house is beautiful and well appointed but was short on towels. The tvs are too complicated or the wifi weak? We couldn’t decide. The upstairs bedrooms were warm but main bedroom and bath chilly Ice maker is slow! Should provide wood for outdoor firepit

Family/Friends Ski Trip
Great house/location for our ski trip to Crystal Mountain. Plenty of room for our 3 families (kids loved the basement); within walking distance to the resort; also management company was very responsive to last minute request… couldn’t ask for more. Definitely one of the best rentals near Crystal Mountain.

Great house
This property was very spacious and accommodating for our family. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook. Two things to note when considering booking we were short on towels in the main bathroom and the kitchen could have used a bit more cleaning. The range hood had a lot of dust and grease on it and the island cabinets looked as though they hadn’t been wiped down (crumbs and spilled food)

Northern getaway to celebrate a 50th
We spent a fantastic weekend in this home celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday with three other couples. The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable, it had everything we needed to prepare and serve several meals, and the location was perfect for us. While part of the group hit the links on Saturday, the rest of us enjoyed the lovely spa at Crystal Mountain that was a short walk away. We took advantage of nearby hiking trails and sat under the stars by the fire pit enjoying some of the best nights of summer. Nobody wanted to leave at the end of the weekend - it was a truly memorable getaway.

Beautiful home, seems new. Great location. Everything about the house was outstanding; we really enjoyed our stay. My only complaint was the inflexibility around early check-in but that doesn't overshadow the great time we had in the house.

Stunning Family Home
We had multiple families staying in this home and never felt cramped. The open living spaces were perfect for gatherings. The kitchen and home are well stocked with items you may need. We loved the location within Crystal Mountain, we were able to walk to almost everything. Great home!
