We arrived at night and had some trouble finding the house. Our phone navigation apps didn't get us the last mile (which the owner disclosed that GPS probably wouldn't), but the property isn't well marked from the road and is some distance off the road. Once we arrived at the house it was impressive from the outside. There is a pond and it is surrounded by trees. It really was a lovely setting. We saw wildlife every day. My teenagers enjoyed walking our dogs around the pond to see what wildlife they could discover. There were a few things we expected to find in the kitchen that were not there, such as wine glasses, can opener, lighter, hot pads, mixer, kitchen towels (there was only one). Otherwise, it was sufficiently stocked.
On the first night I showered late and was surprised when the water shut off when I was mid shower. I contacted the owner and she explained that the water softener cycles late at night and draws a significant amount of water. After knowing that little tidbit, we didn't have any other water issues. You can not change the thermometer and we found the house to be uncomfortably warm. We cracked windows to control the temperature, but it would have been preferable to be able to control the temperature.
