We had a super week in Telluride and Alpine Lodging was a large part of it. It was perfect for 3 of us. Location is great, short walk to the Gondola, and all that town has to offer. Great views, especially leaving the unit in the morning. And, the hot tub is wonderful at the end of a long day! There were some minor challenges: stairs to loft are steep, but the bed is super comfy once there. Going down on sore legs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom can be rough. The couch is saggy, and badly needs new cushions &/or mattress. My son chose to sleep on the built in cushioned area next to the couch, instead, which was fine. The TV has a ROKU, but it wasn't set up to allow guests to use their own and required a code, so inquire about getting a code in advance if, like us, you are looking forward to catching up on some award nominees after an early dinner! Last but not least, we had a really hard time finding the unit after checking in. Once we did, we had a hard time entering. Alpine Lodging would really benefit from handing out a rough area map, or at least showing people ON a map in case the check-in person meant 'their other left.' The office is several blocks from the unit and calling typically results in voicemail. The office returned calls quickly, but standing in the snow with luggage is not so fun.
Also, the check in person should emphasize the need to enter the # and/or * in the entry code keypads at the property. In fairness, the email with entrance info does say: "enter all symbols," but when tired it's easy to mistake the # key before a set of numbers as just a designator that numbers begin here....
All that said, these were minor things, and once past, our stay was great. Management responded promptly, we loved the location and everything about Telluride.
