We found the cabin very inviting & comfortable. If you are tall, be careful upstairs with the slanted ceiling! Bed was comfortable, we went right to sleep! Stairs are narrow, thankful for handrail! Kitchen was functional, didn’t cook though, didn’t feel like buying all the ingredients and making a mess. Sits on a 1acre lot, steep hill, so no hiking the property but there are many parks close by. Roku TV, easy to navigate. Bring bug repellent, a lot of bugs attracted to the lights and being close to river. Saw some fireflies later at night down the driveway. Bathroom is a little small and Shower floor is a little slippery! Washer/dryer is one unit, takes some time to run a load but easy to use. Bring matches for the fire just in case & use your paper trash to help start the fire. Be careful, saw snakes in the wood pile! You are truly out in nature, can hear the river running below the cabin. Lots of birds and other wildlife. Great local places to eat in Susquehanna Conrad’s pizza, Bluestone Ice cream, Erie & Main coffee shop, in Windsor NY, Windsor Diner, & Red Rock BBQ. Best place to grocery shop take 81 to NY, Walmart, Aldi or Wegmans (AMAZiNG!) Chain restaurants in Binghamton & Vestal, ate at Texas Road House, our waitress, May was awesome. About a 30 min drive, also a shopping mall & Bj’s. Susquehanna has a very well stocked Dollar General 5mins away from cabin. We very much enjoyed our stay.
