“Pretty much what we expected. Location is amazing, right on the water. It's far out of town and a bit isolated, so you'll want a rental car. Taxi is 60 one way. Bus runs once an hour and is only a 5 minuted walk to the stop, but last bus is around 6 PM. It's more rustic than most places on Vrbo, so just set your expectations properly and you'll be pleased. Wifi worked. Coffee maker worked. Microwave worked. Fridge worked. Washer and dryer worked. All good. ”

“This was an amazing an space for our family to meet and spend a week in Juneau. One of the best stocked Vacation Rentals. The space is incredibly comfortable and spacious. Many nice features, including a lovely Jacuzzi bath tub and covered front porch. The location was excellent, close to everything. A short walk to lemon Creek and a hiking trail head less than a block away. Thank you so much for renting to us! ”

“Our family of 9 stayed here for a week! The house is fabulous—we didn’t want to leave. We utilized the hot tub, sauna, fire pit and grill. We invited friends from town over for fresh Halibut and Salmon we caught. They told us they had all been to the house for a wedding or some function. It’s definitely a Sitka landmark. (We saw a bear and multiple bald eagles through the binoculars! ) Highly recommend this house! ”

“The view is amazing! Saw a whale, seals, squirrels, and eagles off the deck, and two bears in the neighbor's driveway! LOVED IT! The decor is beautiful. The layout works. Two living rooms is nice for a big group. Outdoor seating is a must, used it every day. There was a broken toilet when we arrived, but they did their best to fix it as soon as possible and communication was great. I wish it had a keurig, but we survived, ha ha. Short walk to Rotary Beach which is wonderful to explore during low...

“We had a wonderful time staying here. The place was very clean and charming. We enjoyed the close location to many outdoor activities and beaches and felt very comfortable the entire time. We would definitely go back!”

“Great location-the wildlife was just amazing.You can see Herring Cove from the patio. We saw a mama deer and her fawn in the yard and watched the bears catch salmon in the cove. Would definitely stay again. Recommend!”

“This home on Japonski Island is a short walk into Sitka. It was amazing! Along with the constant views of beautiful Alaska out the walls of windows, this home is sparkly clean. Amenities are organized and plentiful. We were so comfortable that it was hard to leave! The owner was easy to contact and helpful. This property will not disappoint. “Lots of room for 11 of us of all ages, nice and quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with implements and appliances. The furnishings were sparse, but very comfortable beds! Out only disappointment was that they couldn’t find someone in Juneau to repair the out of commission hot tub.”
