Cute house
Cute house. Other reviews are accurate about the smell/odor. I picked it up when I walked in, but didn’t think it was that bad till I left and everything had the odor on it. There was a little roach in bathroom and last night big ones in kitchen. I get creeps from any insect. And I see they’ve been mentioned other reviews so exterminator might be warranted My first Vrbo experience will read more reviews next time

Lake House Stay
The Host was very nice and answered all our questions and the house had a great layout but this house has an old musky smell, we had to buy Lysol and candles but that only helped while they were in use and we had to do this every day of the stay. This smell also got in our clothes and bags bought cedar planks but this didn't help. The smell was talked about in previous review but not mentioned again. The ceiling fans in Living room did not work Lights did, the ceiling in laundry room is split and there was dishes in the dish washer we left them there and didn't use them. The smell in this house is the reason we cancelled our visit in October and acquired another VBRO.

Good for the price
Our stay was enjoyable, however, there were a couple things that need to be worked on. There were fruit Flys throughout the home especially in the bathroom and bedroom, did see a couple roaches in the cabinets, the floors were not clean, had tons of pet hair on them, tried to clean them the best i could when we arrived, refrigerator and freezer seemed to be working when we arrived since it was cold and there were frozen things in freezer, but when we put stuff in the freezer it never froze and we were there 4 days, and milk spoiled in refrigerator because it wouldnt get cold enough, had to use ice to keep drinks cold while there, bed was very hard and uncomfortable. On another note, the place has great potential to be very nice, is very spacious and seems nicer than pictures listed. Friendly neighbors and neighborhood, golf cart to use was a great plus as well, close to a boat landing.

Lake Marion Get a way
Had a very nice time and met some very nice people. Karen was a splendid host and made us welcome. Had a nice boat ride on a neighbors pontoon boat. Very impressed with the Osprey nests in the trees on the water. A big thank you to Karen, Rainy & Ron, Evey & Jack and a number of orhers that made our stay very pleasurable.

Quiet and relaxing
The neighborhood was very quiet. The house was much larger and nicer than the pictures suggest. The fenced backyard was very large, plenty of room to play fetch with our dogs, also enjoyed the front porch. Loved the decor, along with the comfort and coziness of the living room, we were able to do quite a bit of relaxing and enjoy our vacation.

Not so cozy
mattress in b/r needs replacing - living room recliners are shot and falling apart - a very musty smell permeates the entire cottage -'no working clocks in the cottage at all - hole in the wall behind one recliner in l/r - toilet in full bath is cracked and has been repaired - sink in the 1/2 bath is a slop sink. A/C is old but worked well - Pleasure lane is a gravel unpaved unmarked road

Golf Tournament
We came down to play a 3 day golf tournament. This place was perfect for us to rest and relax after a long day of golf. Place was clean, nice & quiet. We hope to stay here again.

Wonderful cottage

Such a quiet retreat!!

Fun birthday family trip!
We decided to have a little getaway for my 6 year olds birthday he was so excited when he realized we were at a lake but surprised him even further by driving out to the beach while we were close! The house is very well stocked especially if you forget condiments 😅 Miss Karen we loved your home! And your decor was beautiful ❤️

Nice stay at Lake Marion
We had a great time nice place quite neighborhood. Close to lake and boat ramp. Town nearby with restaurants and stores. Only bad thing was no phone service, but there was WIFI and you can send messages. That's what we did and wasn't really an issue.

This property was the perfect get away. Owner very easy to contact and responds promptly. House was very clean. Loved the use of the golf cart and there is a landing near by. Quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed out stay and will definitely be visiting again

Loved our time here. Great place to relax and get away. Nice fenced in back yard for our Stella Mae. Very close to boat ramp.
