If I could give this properly 10 stars I would. It was the perfect house for family to stay while in town for a wedding. So beautiful, clean and spacious. The whole family loved it. Trish, the property manager, was super helpful and quick to respond to any questions.

Great for extended family gathering!

Yankee Doodle Farmhouse was a private but convenient property for our multigenerational gathering. We cooked, we played yard games, we went site seeing and did puzzles! Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us!

Excellent Vacation Place

The house itself was very well equipped and comfortable. There is room for everyone to have their own space if desired. I highly recommend this home. It was about 12 minutes from whatever you might like to do.

A wonderful vacation!

My husband and I stayed in the large house for 12 days and my daughter, her husband and their dog stayed in the cottage for 5 days. The property was spacious, clean and very well appointed. The location was great. It was very close to Mystic , Westerly and Newport. We are looking forward to returning some day in the near future.

Wonderful Property for Family Gatherings

Amazing home and property! This home was more than comfortable for our extended family of 10 to spend time together. The house is well cared for with modern amenities. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking family-style meals. The kitchen and dining area is a beautiful gathering space for large groups. The home is charming, and the property is well cared for. We enjoyed walking the property and using the outdoor gathering spaces for morning coffee and late-night chats. The hospitality of the property managers Trish and Brandon was spectacular! It was interesting to learn about the history of the home and the surrounding area. The home offers easy access to groceries and I-95 while providing seclusion and privacy.

Wedding Weekend!

Perfect house. Impressively provisioned. Great common spaces including very pleasant views of outdoor green spaces. Exactly as listed. Property managers were fabulous with great communication and available for anything we needed (which we didn't - house had absolutely everything). It was a very satisfying rental experience and an extremely comfortable house. Would return in a heartbeat! We loved it.

Thankful Thanksgiving!!!

This home is definitely at the top of our list of favorites! From the moment we entered the grounds with its historic stone walls and spacious yard, to the bright and light kitchen/dining area we felt the charm this property provides. The house essentially is circa 1739 but believe me it is maintained to the highest degree with all the comforts you could ask for! To say it was clean is an understatement. It was impeccable!! We never wanted for any amenities. Everything was provided. The home overall allowed for our family of 10 to feel at ease with ample bedrooms, bathrooms and sitting areas. The care that has been given to this home is evident and the fact that the owners shared this with us is greatly appreciated. The location is amazing. Just a quick 4 minute drive to Mystic Village and Aquarium. Such an inviting and pretty area to spend the day at! Renting and staying in this home was such a positive experience. The manager Trish and her husband were incredible to say the least!! They went above and beyond in every regard. (I'm not someone who uses exclamation marks freely but in this case I feel like I could use one after each and every sentence . This home and the memorable experience was that SPECIAL!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Girls Week

Four and then five friends joined to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were so charmed by this property, we loved being there. It had the historic charm of a 17th century property, a design scheme that added warmth to every room and a very special dining room with surround windows, it was perfect for us. Each of us had our own bedroom. It was very convenient to both Mystic and Stonington. A big shout out to property manager--Trish Watson--who was very attentive to our needs and who we all wanted to be our new friend, she is nice and efficient. We all want to come back. Great, great property.

Amazing Place-The best!!

We rented Yankeedoodle Farm as our daughter was getting married in the area. We held the rehearsal dinner at the property and it was truly amazing. The property had plenty of parking, 5 spacious bedrooms, 4 bathrooms plus the cottage was used as overflow for our guests! The property manager was so responsive to all our requests. The grounds were so well cared for, the house was immaculate and we could not have had a better time!!! We have decided to make this house an annual visit! Amazing Place!

Beautiful week away

We loved our stay in Stonington. Our group of four adults and four teens (and a a pup) had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Days in Mystic were wonderful, great food is everywhere, and we had lovely nights around the fire-pit with plenty of day trips for antiquing, bookshop hopping, wine tasting, and beach walks. The house is truly lovely with too many personal touches to count. No one in our group had any complaints (and with four teens, that says a lot!!!) Thank you Trish! We will be back!

Beauty and Elogance

This spectacular property is private with an abundance of necessities plus those little special touches. Trisha was so sweet and responsive to any questions or requests. The home was beautifully furnished with very unique pictures and the charm of the home made it very cozy. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and visits from friends and family. It is close to beaches, adventures in Connecticut, and Southern Rhode Island. This experience will be hard to match anywhere else. Thank you owners for letting us share your lovely home.

Perfect place for my big group!

We were a group of 10 and it was perfect! My group age ranged from 13 to 77 and everyone loved staying there. They supplied everything you could need down to beach towels and chairs. We enjoyed the firepit several nights and the grill as well. Plenty of space for us to gather when we wanted to but still have our own areas to retire to. Trish was awesome and always just a text message away when a question arose! Overall a great place to stay!

Awesome Venue for US Coast Guard Academy grad/commissioning celebration

Trish and Brandon were wonderful hosts for our multi-family celebration. They were attentive to our questions, and dropped off items as needed. The ole Yankee Doodle Farmhouse was perfect with plenty of bedrooms and separate bathrooms for two families and guests. The spacious ground floor with new kitchen and dining area were perfect for hosting our BBQ graduation party with about 30-40 guests. The huge front yard and gravel driveway were more than adequate for handling all the guests parking. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The outdoor SOLO fire pit was the best. The “firsties” used it literally every night and there was plenty of firewood to boot. We used all the lawn chairs for the grad party and the graduates enjoyed the BBall court and the backyard lawn to throw the football around. As a wonderful touch, the expansive backyard lawn was mowed the day before just in time for the party! We all created some wonderful lifetime memories at the Yankee Doodle Farmhouse! Great house for family!

This home was large and had everything that we needed to have a relaxing stay. A perfect home for a family vacation or gathering. It is central to shopping and restaurants in the area. It is worth noting, the neighbors are closer than we expected and there is a caretaker that lives on site, although he keeps to himself.

Christmas in Connecticut

We visited our daughter to celebrate Christmas in January in this home. The home is spacious with more than enough of everything one could possibly need! Bill was in the guest house next door and was immediately available when needed, but he was never “in the way”. We appreciated his presence. Would definitely stay there again. It was a very cozy home. We are still talking about what a great visit we all had.

Wonderful location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen/dining area was a great place for our whole group to hang out. The spacious kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house has so much character. The yard has tons of room for kids/teens to runaround. All the New England charm you desire. We were excited to see 4 deer on ours walks down the driveway. Blue jays and squirrels too. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Trish!

Family reunion at the Yankee Doodle Farmhouse

Our stay was amazing in every way! The farmhouse is quintessential New England in a very private setting with more than enough room for 10 people! The home is perfectly appointed and immaculately clean. We stayed for 6 nights and I can't think of anything that we needed that wasn't at our fingertips in one of the many cupboards and pantries. Our host, Trish, was very friendly and eager to make our stay a wonderful experience. Everyone agreed that we would book again for our next reunion. I could go on but you will need to book the Yankee doodle farmhouse to understand. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful farmhouse.

Destination wedding

We have never rented a vacation home before, and we are thrilled that we did. This home is BEAUTIFUL. The place was clean, well stocked and decorated so lovely. The grounds were well taken care of and full of nature. Trish the host was easy to contact and quick to respond. We come up to Connecticut often and would rent this home again in a heartbeat. All of us staying there give this place a 10 out of 10.

Fantastic Long Weekend

We had a wonderful, laid-back family weekend at this gorgeous farmhouse! The house was beautifully decorated (as seen in the pictures) and was very clean, spacious, and well stocked with all the essentials. Our group of 7 (5 adults and 2 children) had space to spread out and also come together. The yard is also well-maintained and we enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit. It's in a central location, close to Stonington and Mystic. Trish and Bill were wonderful and very easy to get in touch with during our stay. We highly recommend this property and hope to return someday in the future!
