Amazing location in Steamboat
We had our wedding at Sky Valley Chateau and the property was AMAZING. Erica and David were super helpful, communicative, and made check-in and check-out seamless. I would HIGHLY recommend the space for your wedding or for your ski vacation with larger groups. 10/10

Beautiful setting for an intimate wedding
We can not thank Sky Valley Chateau enough for allowing us to hold our special day at their property. The house was perfectly sized to fit all our loved ones in one place and the property provided a beautiful backdrop. The hosts, David and Erica, were very easy to work with and so incredibly kind.

Family reunion
We just had the most amazing family reunion with all of our children, spouses and grandchildren, total 29 people! This location was perfect, plenty of individual sleeping/bathrooms, beautiful big kitchen for meals, great gathering, spaces weather inside or out for groups to mingle, And the pool spa was a great hit with everyone. Our house were amazing… Replacing pool towels like magic responding to every question, friendly, and kind. We unfortunately left some cooking pots behind, but Erica came to our rescue. We definitely would recommend this beautiful home and will be returning in the future.

Look no further
The owners are not only extremely nice and accommodating, they are also meticulous to every detail from the quality of the accommodations all the way down to the landscaping. Our guests were absolutely blown away and although we have seen the place before, staying here and enjoying the well stocked kitchens, grill, hot tub, and other amenities really blew us away. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGGLY recommend!

Love, love, LOVED the property!
My husband and I had our micro wedding here with a total of 28 people and we couldn’t have asked for a better more beautiful place! It was the perfect experience for our Texas family to see the true beauty of Colorado. Erica and David were so helpful throughout the entire process and were very easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. Absolutely the BEST place for our wedding day!
Our experience last week while staying at Sky Valley Chateau (wedding on site Thursday, 7/18/2024) was nothing short of phenomenal! First off let me explain all of the recon I did for our wedding (2nd marriage for us both, each with 3 kids from prior relationship). Hours upon hours of searching for the perfect location for our destination mountain wedding. We knew we wanted an intimate setting but couldn’t decide where in Colorado to book. There were places in other quaint towns around the Rockies and even down in Telluride…but Sky Valley Chateau was hands down the best choice for us. We had both sets of parents, 3 sets of siblings and their children, our 6 teenagers plus 3 of my best friends ALL stay on property. That’s 25 people (except a few teens, all were adults) spread among the 10 rooms. My husband and I took up the two rooms on the main floor-bridal suite and bride “get ready” room as well as where we stored decor and we never felt crowded. The hot tub was used multiple times each day of our stay. And the VIEW! Our photos taken on site are magazine worthy! The owners David and Erica immediately felt like family. From her first text to the last good-bye, David and Erica were both so kind, friendly and extremely helpful. One night we randomly needed a 9V battery for a microphone as we prepped for the ceremony so I texted Erica. Within no time they walked a battery over which saved us a trip into town. I can’t recommend this venue enough. It was a splurge, but worth it!

We had 29 people ranging from 3 to 83! It was wonderful for everyone. The facilities are very nice for a large group. Plenty of dining space and outdoor living space. Hot tub was a hit!

After Wedding Family Gathering
The Sky Valley Chateau was a perfect house to allow our family to gather, and provide personal space. The house is just magnificent. The multiple sitting areas allowed for small group conversation. The outdoor space had a good view of the valley and surrounding forest. The owners, David and Erica made us feel welcome, and were very responsive to any request. We had a great time.

Amazing Wedding Location
My husband and I were lucky enough to find this charming little wedding venue/reception area attached to a very large and modern chalet-style rental home that happened to have our wedding dates (May 3- May 5, 2024) available for rental. Even though we were only about 7-8 months out from the wedding at the time of booking, a time during which many of the other venues we had looked at were booked up, when the hosts Erica and David were immediately able to accommodate our wedding dates and rent us the property - we were over the moon. Upon securing the property for these dates, we were sent a list of available wedding-related items on-property such as a wedding arch, table setting counts, and other information that proved helpful in planning the decor and style of the wedding. This was an all-in-one rental that allowed us to have the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony (the only thing we had to rent was outdoor chairs), the reception (they have built a lovely reception hall on-property), and all of the lodging for our guests (this place can sleep around 30!) all under one roof. We really appreciated this aspect as it kept our guests from having to drive from one location to another, to another, and from having to secure their own sleeping accommodations. There were many things that made Sky Valley Chateau the perfect wedding rental for us. David and Erica, the hosts, spared no expense in retrofitting this property for the purpose of holding events like weddings.

2024 Wedding at Sky Valley
We had a small wedding with family and friends at the Sky Valley Chateau on 4/20/24. We had an amazing time and couldn’t be happier with our choice at picking sky valley to host our wedding and family. The property itself sold us but the help from our hosts. You can’t put a price tag on. Thank you again. We hope to make another stay someday! We loved the SVC 👍

Another Amazing Trip
Our stay was amazing. The entire group had a blast. We had a lot of snow and a guest got stuck. David even gave us shovels and came out to help dig us out so we could continue our stay.

I've been hosting a group of guys for the past eight years and this is the first time we stayed in Steamboat. The Sky Valley Chateau was perfect in every way and David and Erica couldn't be more accomodating. We loved the place so much that we have already booked the Sky Valley Chateau for 2025 and for 2026. In addition, I'm going to host another event there in September. In one word, Fabulous!

Large Steamboat Area House
Owner is on site, friendly, and very helpful. The house is well configured for a large group, and all the things we expected to find in the house were there. The only draw back is that there are no TVs in the bedrooms. Not a big deal.

Beautiful Wedding Venue & Stay
My fiancé and I had always wanted a wedding venue where everyone could stay and a small wedding in our home state of Colorado. This fit the bill plus some. The property itself is gorgeous. It’s just far enough away from the heart of steamboat that you have space but is easy to get to. From the grounds to the inside you couldn’t ask for a prettier place and great amenities. Host is extremely helpful and was available whenever I had questions. They live on the property so if you need anything they’re right there. They have a little set up for ceremonies with their own aspen arch. We had a blizzard going on but the aspens around and the window through the trees to the mountains and town make for a great venue. All family staying had a great time and our dogs we worked out bringing with the host loved the nature. Highly highly recommend even just for a trip with a larger party. It’s like the fanciest/coziest hotel you’ve ever been in.

Unforgettable Wedding!
David and Erica were amazing hosts. They were in constant communication, helpful, and thoughtful. Our daughter's wedding could not have been more special. The scenery and landscaping set the stage for beautiful photos. The accommodations were beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend this venue for weddings, family gatherings, or any memorable occasion.
