Nice House Good location
Overall the house was good and the location is good. My only concern is it had snowed 3-4 inches of snow prior to our arrival and there was no snow removed from the parking lot. The sidewalks and stairs into the house were not shoveled creating a dangerous situation trying to get into the house. There also was no snow shovel on site to remove the snow. It snowed again during our stay and again no snow removal or way to removed. There was ice and snow on the stair to get into the house. It was not easy to get in and out of the house.

Not what I expected !
We stayed for five days. The check in process is difficult if you are not tech literate. Your only communication with property owner is thru the Vrbo app. We did not have internet so entry to the property was delayed. The wi-fi continued to fail and we needed to change wi-fi connections three times. The property itself has a number of concerns. There is only one couch in living room. Makes it difficult to gather and talk as a group. This is an observation, there is no homeiness or warmth associated with the property. the appliances were abused, the refrigerator door was broken and the dishwasher was in poor shape. the baseboards were dirty, including cobwebs. There was not any soap in the dispensers in the bathrooms and the bar soaps were marginal at best. There are no cooking spices or seasonings except salt and pepper. Anything you need to cook you will have to bring yourself. the toilet was wobbly. on the bright side, the beds were very comfortable.

Recommmend better towels. Face towels were paper thin. There was not enough towels and requested more and was told you would bring us more towels but never got any. The memory mattress and duvet was awesome. Recommmend verical mirrors in each room. roomroomRecommend

It was okay
Positives: We really loved how easy highway access was. The mattresses were very comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep! The linens were all clean, and the kitchen and bathrooms were also very clean. Draw backs: The kitchen was very sparsely equipped for cooking. Plenty of plates and cups, but not enough equipment to efficiently cook for and feed breakfast to our party of 7. I can’t imagine hosting a larger group here and planning to cook any meal. There wasn’t even a pepper shaker or any cooking oil or spray. First time we have ever stayed in a rental with so little to work with in the kitchen. I also wish I had paid better attention to the photos of the living room. For a place that could sleep 12, it is not equipped for spending much time hanging out together. Overall, great rental if all you need is a space for a large group to be able to sleep and get ready together. Not a great place to hangout with said group though.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! SO DIRTY!
We are so disappointed. We had this property reserved for 2 days for a wedding but when we arrived, we knew we couldn’t stay there and needed to find a new place. The toilet paper was YELLOW AND WET, the floors AND walls were dirty, the sheets were questionable (yellowish), and the fans and vents had so much dust and mold (the edges of the white fans were BLACK) on them they looked like they haven’t been cleaned in months. The railing for the stairs to get up to the bedrooms was NOT ATTACHED TO THE WALL, which is a huge safety hazard especially for my parents who both need safety railings to climb stairs due to bad knees. The kitchen is unusable due to there only being 3 pans (and not much else) and the pans that were there were beyond scratched and handles were BROKEN. There were beer cans on the back porch (more evidence that they don’t clean this place) and the gate was not closed. Upon further inspection, the gate did not appear to close all the way. I spent over 2 hours of my vacation on the phone trying to figure this situation out and I am still fighting for a refund because the host refused us. Do not waste your time and find a safer and CLEANER place to stay!

Falsely accused of a party- threatened by host
I was in town for my 25th HS reunion and staying at Dan’s property in The Grove. Three of my best girls stayed w me which I indicated in the reservation. While we were at the reunion which was being held far, far away in Chesterfield , I received the following message: “Hi, Are you having party? We are receiving multiple noise complaints from your unit. Note that we need you to IMMEDIATELY shut down the noise/party or we will be calling the police to come make arrests and your security deposit will be taken. Please confirm you are shutting down the noise/party in the next 5 minutes or we will be calling the police.“ Are you kidding me?! We are a small group of middle-aged women and we were not even there. Don’t stay here- he jumps to unfair conclusions and is extremely aggressive. I should add that the townhome is not clean -unwiped surfaces and hair on floor- and feels like a crappy dorm. No warmth or appealing qualities about it at all. Overall a rundown MEH property w a crazy, rude host

Value stay
Location was good but lots of noise at night. The house layout/rooms were as described but everything was very basic. Nothing extra in kitchen ( like foil or oil etc.) except coffee supplies. The house was not very clean. Dishwasher was full when we arrived and lots of dust from trim to fans and it looks like the cleaning service has never vacuumed behind the door of bedrooms or bathrooms. The floors are really rough and caught on socks so we felt like we needed to wear shoes all the time. The wifi was so slow and we never got the provided streaming service to work despite many efforts and communications. For the price i would say its a value stay but could easily be a lot better with some extra cleaning and a few fixed things.

Solid Option
Overall the property was a very solid choice. We had 9 guys and the place had plenty of sleeping room. It was close to the Armory, City Foundry, and Metro to get to the Cardinals game so the location was great for us. Would’ve given 5 stars but the fridge didn’t work. A couple other small fixes and this place would’ve been perfect for what we need.

Overall nice stay
The internet did not really work the entire week, so to watch a movie or kids play on their phones in our downtime was not happening and was frustrating, but the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to make/eat a meal, which was so helpful! The beds were all nicely made and comfortable! Which is huge when you’re staying away from home!! Overall we had a nice stay here!

Great stay
At first I thought this was a bad deal, but once inside the property it was ideal for what I needed. The home was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. The property was located in close proximity to all the things we wanted to do. For the price, you can't beat it. I would definitely stay again. The property manager was very attentive, thanks Dan.

4th of July Trip
With a last minute change of plans, my friends and I had to quickly find somewhere to stay over the holiday, and this place did not disappoint! We absolutely loved the walkability of the neighborhood and appreciated clear communication from the host. I would definitely stay here again!

Just okay
While this property is conveniently located, the space itself leaves a lot to be desired. Upon booking I was asked to complete a booking agreement, which I did. On the day of our visit one hour before check in I received another form which indicated was required before I received check in instructions. The form required a passport ID or drivers license ID number AND uploaded photo. I have never been asked to provide this type of information for any previous bookings. Upon submission I was expecting to receive check in instructions but only received check out instructions and had to email the host requesting instructions for check in. The host did reply promptly with that information. We had some difficulty finding the property and parking as it is down an alley and there was an event going on blocking some of the nearby streets. The property itself was relatively clean though I did not feel comfortable walking around without shoes. They provide the absolute bare minimum in ammenities. I would describe the property as sufficient but far from cozy. We were only staying one night on our way through town and would not have wanted to stay longer.

Convenient location
It’s close to the highway so it’s easy to get to things in St. Louis. The neighborhood doesn’t seem like the best but I had no issues with anything. The property itself is pretty good. While I wouldn’t call it stunning, it was perfectly satisfactory. Would be nice if there was the option to enter through the back door considering that’s where the parking is. Pillows weren’t very comfortable, didn’t have hand soap by the sinks, and could use a little more seating in the living room area other than just the one couch. But it works for a short stay

Disappointing experience
We had several issues. First of all the day we arrived we got inside and checked all doors and windows. The window in the back of the house in the 4th bedroom did not lock. We notified the owner and he said he would send someone to fix it the next day. We gave permission for handy man to come in and fix window. No one came and window was not fixed when we returned that evening. When I text the owner he said ahhh I’m sorry to hear that but did nothing. So we slept another night with the window not locked. Scary. There are two gates and a creepy alley you have to go through to get to front door to unlock it. The gates are junk and you have to practice body slam them to open them. The beds weren’t made and the linens were folded but randomly dropped on the beds. There was only 8 towels and 4 wash clothes for a house that sleeps 12 people. It was not overly dirty but not kept up very well. Just disappointing and inconvenient.

Good enough for a few days...
The sleeping space met our needs considering only 7 of our 10 stayed there (and we didn't have to worry about top bunk sleeping). We were able to work with the 2 restrooms. The kitchen amenities were adequate. We could have used more seating like a loveseat to sit comfortably while watching TV. The place could use cleaning around the walls/baseboards, small fixtures in one closet, and the bottom floor toilet paper holder. The Vrbo app was not allowing me to log in so I could not reach the host to help with TV login which was a little disappointing. Overall it was good enough for our 3-night stay.
