Amazing outdoors but inside and communication could be improved
We stayed at this rental property for the weekend, and while the outdoor surroundings were stunning, the indoor experience left much to be desired. The house's location is undoubtedly its best feature. The lake is serene and picturesque, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation and outdoor activities. The surrounding nature is breathtaking, offering plenty of opportunities enjoying the peaceful environment. However, the condition of the house itself was disappointing. Upon arrival, we found the interior to be quite dirty. There were numerous bugs and spider webs in various corners, making the place feel neglected. Dust covered many surfaces, and it was evident that a thorough cleaning had not been done in quite some time. The decor was also very outdated, which might not be an issue for some, but it added to the overall feeling of the place being poorly maintained. Additionally, the property manager was not very unresponsive to our questions and concerns. In summary, while the outdoor setting is idyllic and perfect for nature lovers, the state of the house and the lack of responsiveness from the property manager significantly detracted from our stay. If the interior were better maintained and communication improved, this rental could be a fantastic getaway.

Great stay
Great house. Noice pans available. Sheets and towels provided, as well as hand soaps, paper towel and toilet paper. The dock and boat ramp were dog friendly.

We loved the kitchen & decks . The dock & fire pit were awesome. The only suggestions would be to put a window covering in the master bedroom and dust the basement we did see some bugs.

Lakefront is great but the house could use some love
Pros: - We had a great time at the lakefront, swimming and hanging out. It’s one of the rare lake Anna spots with a deep lake and the dock is fairly new. - The fire pit was also great. - There are two decks with great views of the waterfront which we enjoyed. Cons: - Check in: We did not receive the door code until an hour after check in. We tried messaging the host, calling her, even trying the VRBO helpline - nothing while we waited to get in. When she finally responded, there was no reason given, just the code with nothing else. - Linen service: when we finally entered the property there were no sheets. A hamper was dropped off later that night, and they were in pretty bad shape and didn’t match with the beds. Recommend bringing your own. - Trash: no outdoor trash cans, so you need to drop off the trash each day at the recycling center which is for residents only. Luckily they never checked our IDs. - House: so much potential, but could use a reno, especially the primary bedroom which has a stall shower in the room and a tight toilet situation. House was pretty dusty, could use a good clean esp given each guest pays a cleaning fee. Kitchen is a recent remodel though which was nice. All in all, if your priority is lakefront this is the place for you. It was for us and we had a nice family get away.

Would not recommend due to management doing the minimum
Great private dock, but felt like I was being nickel and dimed. Unfortunately, if you choose to run a property like this, the reviews will tell the story. Host charges both a linen and cleaning fee. That adds up, making list prices deceptive. Communication wasn’t great prior to my stay. A question I sent went unanswered for days. The day before, I get a message that says linens aren’t provided. After asking what the fee is for, host said the message was automated and we’d have linens. Then, upon arrival, the access code didn’t work. Instructions posted outside suggest it’s a common issue and raise some security questions. Thankfully, the host remotely opened the door. Late that night, we realize the beds aren’t made up and there aren’t enough full sets of sheets for everyone. I have stayed in many rentals and it’s always been a given that beds will be made up with proper sheets. Also, a bathroom had no toilet paper. With a large group this was a major issue but it was too late to do much. Upon contacting the host the next morning, she delivered sheets and toilet paper, but the hassle was annoying. Amenities were very basic, no shampoo/soap in the shower, no/not enough washcloths/hand towels. House rules say to drive trash to the dump (really?) though host said we could leave ours when I asked. Cleanliness was questionable- some dirty floors, dead bugs. I wanted a refund of the linen fee, host agreed to a partial refund. I’m hoping I will actually get it.

Nice getaway
Wonderful place to stay for a peaceful getaway! Only downsides were that the booking listing stated there would be standup paddleboards, but they were not there and host was unresponsive during stay. House directions stated that trash must be taken to an offsite landfill. Upon arrival at the landfill, was told it could only be used for residents and is a $1000 fee for non-residents.

Pros and many cons
The location was great. End of road and private. Fishing and swimming were good. However, the house was dirty especially the bathrooms and floors. There were dozens of wormy bugs everywhere especially on the bottom floor. I was ready to leave. That house needs an exterminator. Also, we stood out in the rain for an hour before we could get a code for the door. I was told the day before we left that there were no sheets on the beds.I inquired about the linen fee and I was assured I would get that fee returned to me since no sheets and towels were provided. We made the best of our stay but we will not be returning to that house ever again.

Great family vacation
Amazing week with the family enjoying swimming in the lake and making use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Kids loved jumping off of the pier and fishing. House is convenient to area businesses. Getting to watch 3 Otters on the pier the morning we checked out was a great bonus.

Great spot with shortcomings
The house and dock are great, and we had a lot of fun during our long weekend there. It was a surprise to learn, just hours before check-in, that linens and towels would require an additional fee. The malfunctioning keyless entry system meant that, twice, I had to waste 30-45 minutes waiting for the door to be opened remotely. The first time was frustrating but understandable. The second time, the property manager assured me in advance that it would be no problem but later told me that we should have just left a door unlocked. I expected better.

Beautiful Lake Views
We loved the property. The house was somewhat dated but had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped. The kids loved swimming and jumping off the dock. They also loved fishing at night and making S’Mores around the fire pit.
