Southwest Harbor Cottage pasos del océano y el Parque Nacional de Acadia

Una granja reformada de 1880 en el pueblo de Manset, dos manzanas más arriba forman la orilla. Podrá pasear por la playa y ver la actividad a lo largo del litoral marítimo. Visite en el restaurante del área de embarque para un cóctel por la tarde o el muelle de barco de la langosta fresca. Sólo por el camino es el malecón y las rutas de senderismo de las Maravillas y Ship Harbor. Se trata de un corto trayecto en 20 minutos en Bar Harbor o tomar el Explorador de Isla gratuito que se detiene en el Town Dock Manset. El pueblo de Southwest Harbor está a unos 3 minutos en coche, y tiene tiendas de regalos, restaurantes, y un mercado de alimentos de especialidad.

La casa está decorada para reflejar su ubicación en la costa de Maine. La primera planta dispone de una moderna cocina con todo lo necesario para su estancia. Un comedor de la cocina tiene capacidad para seis. El salón dispone de televisión de pantalla plana con cable y Chromecast para ver su Netflix o Hulu. La cabaña está equipada con WiFi de banda ancha. En el frente de la casa es el porche cerrado perfecto para comenzar el día con una taza de café. En esta planta también incluye un baño completo.

El segundo piso tiene tres dormitorios. El principal tiene una cama de matrimonio y cuarto de baño con ducha. El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama de matrimonio, y el tercer dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales.

Fuera de la cocina es la terraza trasera pequeña, con una parrilla de gas. La cubierta con vistas muy bien un gran patio ajardinado y un encantador patio adosado sobre una parcela de arbustos de arándanos. Hay un pozo de fuego para disfrutar de la noche después de un día de explorar esta gran isla.

Para los que vienen en barco puede haber un barco en el puerto disponible en el puerto bajo petición.

Southwest Harbor cottage
SW cottage was very spacious and comfortable. Ian was quick to respond to inquiries. The main entrance to Acadia did take about 25-30 minutes to reach, but there were delays due to road work. Would suggest 2 rolls of toilet Paper rather than 1 for a 4 night stay.

Nicely renovated 2-story farmhouse close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Beds are comfortable, although smaller bedrooms lack storage space for clothes. nice spaces inside, including large dining room with a table for 6 and a sunroom. House was clean with lots of windows.

Very nice
Very nice warm and welcoming house. Very clean! We had everything we needed in every room. The couches and beds are comfortable. There is even a bunch of pamphlets, books and magazines on traveling in the area. I would have preferred that the one bathroom upstairs not be ensuite to the master bedroom. But overall we are very satisfied and would come back

We had a wonderful time staying at this wonderfully renovated farmhouse. We had 3 generations staying together and we had no problems with bathrooms or any sleeping quarter issues as mentioned in other reviews. House was well maintained and we truly enjoyed the outside fire pit! Large dining and living rooms were a definite plus. We even had deer visit every morning and you could see the Milky Way from the backyard! Truly magical experience!

Nothing beats MDI and staying at Ian’s place was wonderful The location is perfect to access all the fun MDI has to offer. Eating out can be a pocket punch so the well appointed kitchen and grill are a plus Can’t wait to go back

Lots of space
Great size house with plenty of room for our family of 4, nice kitchen, dining room, living room, and bedrooms. No A/C, but my husband is from New England, so that was expected. Plenty of fans to cool down. Great to have a king size bed in the master. Very close to some trails and areas of Acadia, but 25 minutes to Bar Harbor. On the 2nd floor, the bathroom is in the master bedroom, which was fine for us with smaller kids, but might be an inconvenient setup for older kids or multigenerational families. There is a full bath on the first floor,

overall very good but...
There are 3 BR, all on the second floor. There are 2 BR, one is ensuite (in the bedroom with a king). The other bathroom is down the stairs, down a hall, through the kitchen, almost out the back door. It is a full bathroom, but still, if you are in the 2nd or 3rd, having to trudge down the stairs to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night is a royal pain. What is even more galling is that an ad/house info that are incredibly detailed in every possible respect would somehow leave out this important fact. I would not stay again.

Southwest Harbor cottage
We enjoyed our stay at this property. We spent 3 days enjoying the area; hiking in Acadia, browsing shops in Bar Harbor and eating lots of Maine lobster-(btw, Beal’s in Southwest Harbor lobster rolls 10/10). The location is nice with a spacious, tranquil yard. A few deer wandered through the yard briefly at dawn and dusk, along with many songbirds. It felt relaxing. The cottage is roomy with lots of seating, beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We would stay again.

Private Quant home away from home
Great place to stay in southwest harbor. About 20 minutes from the busy town of Bar Harbor. Quiet neighborhood. Would recommend staying here and the host Ian was great with communications. Id only recommend more toilet paper (maybe 2 instead of 1) in the bathrooms.

Great place
This was a great place to stay. It's easy to get to and the location is awesome! The home was clean and the beds were comfy. There's a nice yard with a fire pit. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking dinners and prepping lunches for hikes. There is a small grocery store nearby(it closes early) and a few gas station/convenient stores close-by as well. I think our favorite thing was the public beach access we found about a mile down the seawall road. It's rocky, so bring some sneakers. But it's a wonderful spot to just sit and watch the sunrise in the morning, or just look at the mountains on the other side of the water. Very quiet and peaceful. We would not hesitate to book here again.

Few Days near Bar Harbor
Rented this property for 3 days for the second part of our trip in Maine. It was perfect for our family of four. Wanted the convenience of staying in a home with all the amenities a house has to offer. Downtown Bar Harbor is about 17 miles away. The property is located in Southwest Harbor. Even though we didn’t get time to explore the town of Southwest Harbor we always enjoy our time in Maine! Can’t wait to revisit Maine again!

Amazing location and very comfortable house. The only things that were odd were only full bath on 2nd floor (where all bedrooms located) is in master & very difficult to find the house from the street - it would be helpful to have a more clearly marked house number since privacy shrubs block the entire house

Convenient location
We enjoyed the quieter side. The hikes, the restaurants, the scenery. Bass Harbor lighthouse is very close and is that iconic Maine postcard. Deer in the yard every morning. Easy to get around the area and not bad getting to core Acadia or Bar harbor. Thanks!

Pleasant stay
Very clean place. The home was simple, but had all the things needed for a comfortable stay. I appreciated the nice stove, sharp knives, and comfortable dining room table. The fire pit in the backyard was a really peaceful spot as well.

Acadia Family Fun
This house worked out splendidly for our family with adult children. Great location close to the national park and many hiking spots. Perfect place to spread out, enjoy a home cooked meal and play cards. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and the comfortable beds. Fire pit area was another great family gathering addition. Plenty of space for yard games as well.

Nice Place to stay on Quiet Side of Acadia
Visited with family, including my wife and 3 sons (21,19,15). They loved the place after a long day of hiking. Local restaurants were great, grocery store nearby and the location was 30 minutes from Bar Harbor and 10 minutes from Western Acadia (Echo Lake, Acadia Mtn). Appliances seemed new, especially for laundry. I would recommend for a family interested in quiet side instead of Bar Harbor.

Springtime in Maine
Trip was better than expected, the weather was absolutely gorgeous the week we were there. House was great for 4 adults. While there’s not much you can do about the 2nd bathroom location, it was nice to have 2 bathrooms. I would suggest MORE TOWELS as 1 per person is not enough even with the washer/dryer. Ian was great-had great recommendations for eating & activities, he even answered my text in the middle of the night when the smoke alarms went off - fresh batteries installed the next morning which was a holiday. First time in Maine, can’t wait to go back!
